If you don't want to pay for it, then don't buy it. I think the FAQ pretty much answers the question.
Quote: Why do we have to pay for the weekly show and where does that money go?
EVE TV is produced and broadcast by veteran EVE players and fans, who work full-time to provide a service to EVE fans. There are also equipment and studio costs and these all must be covered if EVE TV is to continue and improve. The revenue from the weekly show will also help pay for the live PVP Tournaments. We know many say æwhy canÆt it be free?Æ and the answer is simple. It costs money to produce. People are working full time to do this. Would you do your job full time, and not be paid? Thought not.

I would like to watch EvE TV but will NOT pay for something else... Haven't we paid enough already?? Why cant we pay with ISK? Who will honestly pay more money to put into CCP's pockets...
just to let you know eve-tv is run by MMM publishing not CCP so the money is going to MMM not CCP, just thought you might like to know
Hutch... what your saying absolutely makes 0 sense. Why on Earth would CCP look into EveTV if it werent for a profit... better yet.. Sure some $$ is going to MMM, but I know there has to be a kickback of sorts to CCP, which there in lays the problem. We do not need the EveTV for it is a useless item that provides no real information to the help towards current account holders. The money being used for such idea's should have been directed towards the constant glitching of database, towards the usage of "Junior DBA's", And towards the overall gameplay of this game.. If it wishes to live past 06/08 then drastic changes are needed or else.. Eve will say hello to AC2...

Its not about profit, its about doing something different. Thats what EVE is about, thats what separates this MMO from the rest. I don't understand why people need to debate this, if you don't want to pay for EVE-TV, then don't pay for it.
There are people who work hard to make EVE-TV happen, and its a full time gig. Would you work for free? Of course not. So get over it already. ----
