The 5th of July 107 was a black day for Amarr. Our beloved Emperor was taken from us by the hand of an assassin.
On the second anniversary of his death, let us gather together to remember the man and celebrate his life.
We will not forget.

Oh, are you implying by " the hands of an assassin" that this was not your God's will? And by "A black day for Amarr " and "Taken from us" that you disagree with the Lord's decision? Resume: So God's will to have Dorian killed is wrong at your eyes?

Edited by: Selim on 04/07/2007 00:17:19 As appalling as the Amarrian system of government is, I cannot deny that Doriam II was more civilized than the average Emperor, and is thus deserving of at least some respect. Unfortunately the Amarr Navy would most likely hinder my visit to this memorial.
Not that I'm not glad when an Emperor is killed or anything. Its just that I know that some nutjob will take his place.

I regret I am unable to attend due to planetside duties at the Monestery this week. I will send a prayer though that I ask be read aloud to the faithful in my absence that all may come to know the peace and prosperity that is life in Amarr under God.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Maybe the remainder of the Amarr should follow his example and die too. You'd get to see your "god" that much sooner.

Quote: All loyal Amarrians and others dedicated to our holy Empire
I take note the notice omits those who hold their faith and loyalty toward God, regardless of their position toward the Empire.
This seems to prohibit the presence of persons who may wish to honor the man for his deeds, unless they are wholly allied with the cause of the loyalist corporations. I am certain there are those who would wish to join in remembering him, yet would also desire not to be shot on sight due to differences of opinion with these same corporations.

I spit on the dead, rotting, God-forsaken flesh of this tapeworm. Good riddance to a putrescent parasite. What a laughable leader - killed by his own people. Midular may be useless, but at least she has the good sense to stay alive. I'm not sure who is laughing harder - me, or your God, still mocking you by leaving you leaderless for so long. The least you can do is spare the rest of the galaxy from putting your shame on display. Let your society die with dignity.

Politics should have no place here, Loyalist, Terrorist, or whatever you may be. This is for the man, not for the Empire itself, or any other agenda one might try to push here.

Allthough i wish to show respects to him, this gathering would not be for me.
He has done much to bring the amarr and minmatar closer to eachother, withouth the intend of dismissing us minmatar as lesser beings. He tried to bring our races together and that deserves high praise. I will honour him by tribal way for he was a great man, both for amarr as minmatar.

Had it been a memorial for Heideran VII, I would have wished you the best. He was a good Emperor who tried hard to make the Amarr better people.
But until the likes of him sit on your golden throne once more, Doriam and all who follow in his wake are not worth the dust in space nor the breath in our lungs.
They are nothing. And I hope they lead your loyalisy bands to a lingering death and a torturous hell.

There will be a Remembrance Dinner held before the Vigil at 18:00 onboard the station in the executive dining room of the PIE headquarters office. Seating is limited to 250. All PIE Officers are ordered to make plans for attendence either directly in person or by holographic remote feed. Guests of PIE who are loyal to Amarr are of course also invited to this formal dinner in honor of Doriam II. The service itself will be held in the station Cathedral overlooking the golden dome monument in the same location as last years Rally for an Emperor. We have hopes Amarrian dignitaries will be able to attend however on such short notice we are not sure.
Entry to the station Cathedral will of course be limited to those who have proven their loyalty to the Empire and God and those who have submitted request. A private inpod compatable chat channel will be opened to broadcast the vigil to the masses in space. The vigil speakers will also be broadcast by loudspeaker within the Cathedral itself.
Reserved seating has been arranged for loyalist members of the corporations and alliances who are stated in service to Amarr inside the Cathedral in the front left section of seating. All members are also invited to the Remembrance Dinner at 18:00 hours and will escorted directly to their seats in the Cathedral before the start of the Vigil service at the conclusion of the meal.
Full dress uniforms are mandated for all military officers and full religious robes are dictated for religious persons. This is a solemn event and one where we must show our faith and our obedience to God as we honor the Emperor Doriam II. Those who are not attired in proper fashion will be turned away by security at the door to the Cathedral.
Amarr is an Empire of service. All are expected to do your duty and arrive ontime. All are expected to bear witness to the virtues of humility and honor as we join in prayer for Doriam II and our Empire.
God Bless the Amarr Empire.

I will attempt to visit in person, dressed in the traditional garb for church ceremonies of the Ardishapur region of a modest merchant.
It is good to see Doriam's memory is remembered and his unfortunate demise is a grieving matter to many of us amarrians. He was a revered Emperor, chosen by God to ascend into the throne.
As for what comes to gossip by the heretics or other madmen claiming the death of our beloved Emperor to be God's will is just heretical banter.
There are other dark forces at work in the galaxy that fuel the sin and heretical views, rather than the pure path guiding us through the Holy Scriptures.

What's this? Star Fraction? Nitpicking over semantics? How totally unlike them to do something like that.
Last can mean "most recent" as well as "final". Talking about last week does not imply a belief that time has ended. Likewise, talking about the last Emperor does not imply an end to our political system.
I think that the meaning of the poster was clear enough to those who attempt to understand it rather than attempt to use it to make a cheap shot in the name of PR.

Edited by: Shaikar on 05/07/2007 21:54:28 It did indeed, quite a large fleet assembled outside the station in time to pay homage to the Emperor and his legacy.
It was good to see that despite their public posturing, even terrorists know deep within themselves the truth and glory of the Empire and so turned up in such great numbers to attend the Vigil.
The sight of so many united, if only for a few hours, in memory of a great leader was stirring to say the least.

It asked people who wished to attend to gather outside the station at 21:00.
At precisely 21:00, we commenced inviting people gathered outside the station into the chapel.
I'm still not sure why members of your alliance were complaining about the "late start" shortly after 20:00 though.
Another case of poor reading comprension perhaps?
