Mad DPS with Ion's and HUUGE Capacitor compared to regular Megathron or Navy Mega (7600 Cap on my Vindi with Matar BS 4 and +5% Cap Implant).
And as I'm linking my own loss, I think it should be allowed so clickity.

ouch mate, i think u should find a few more people who are willing to spend that much isk on a vindi then team up with them.

cnr with estamel siege / gist and pith stuff in the middle for tank, and 2 estamel invul / estamel bcu and draeclina ( something like that ) pds. and a crystal set. Yes i know not a 5b ship but a 30-50b ship.

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the vindicator or the above mentioned setup... with the exeption of it being a waste of isk.
Problem is, It couldn't beat my t2 equipped hyperion. The damage coming from the vindi just wouln't mean a whole lot against the tank on a well tanked hyperion.
With good rigs and a full core tank, the hyper can tank as much damage as the above vindi with just one corpum x-type repper. The vindi can drop the two damage mods and go with a much better tank itself though.
Either way you look at it, reguardless of how you do it, your still gonna die to anything that can tank the damage and kill your cap. Go up against a BS with a real tank and 3-4 heavy nosf and your gonna loose. Cap injector doesn't help much when the nosfing ship is also using one.

Assuming I had "infinute" time ( ) to train for it, I'd go with a pimp Vindi probably. That ship is just sex. I can fly one, but I can't fly it anywhere near non-sacrilegious levels (Gallente BS 3, Minmatar BS 3, Large Hybrids 3).
If I was going to pimp a ship I can fly well at the moment, I'd go for a deadspace/officer/faction fitted Absolution.

get a full faction Navy Mega!! best officer / deadspace EVERYTHING. cant go wrong there. tank a fleet and still do tons of dps

No idea exactly what it'd be but:
Bhaalgorn /w full 8 slot deadspace armor tank.
Or
Archon /w same kind of tank replacing deadspace LAR /w Capital Armor Rep.
Not sure what implants would go best with it.
For either ship full Slave would be the easy choice.
For the Bhaalgorn Snakes might make keeping enemies at 22.5km really easy.
Do snakes help agility or just speed?

I personally am doubting between either a Bhaalgorn (very sexy ship, no gun dmg bonuses so your not losing out if you fit it with what you can use) or a Macherial. Now I can fly both of those within a reasonable time (Minmatar spec'd atm, a week or so and I can fly both with the 'other' BS skill at lvl 4).
If I had time to train for T2 large hybrids though, vindi here I come.
But I dont so I'll probably get a Bhaalgorn or Macherial soon(tm). (probably a Macherial its a bit cheaper and fits the gangs I love better)

And to the guy saying it is a waste to use pimped ships for NPCing:
I vastly prefer USING such a ship in PvE over LOSING it in PvP.
