clearly that is how you win wars against goonswarm
Without a doubt. We have 100% tax rates and cannot possibly afford new Rifters.
I'm glad we padded your KILL DEATH RATIO BACKBONE BoB, but in the end we really just don't care about losing ships. You left the battlefield every engagement in 9-9 last night meaning all you got was your K/D ratio, we got all of your lootZ and we completed our objectives with our POS' but hey...
"I went to 9-9 and all I got was this awesome kill-death ratio."
How about we start with a new metric: How much money you poor bastards have poured into this war vs. how much we have. You can kill all the T1 frigs you want, we still outshine you on those metrics. Kill-death ratios are cool and all in real life when you have the option of actually REMOVING those people from your list of enemies once they die (kill them all let God sort them out kind of deal.), but in a virtual world it doesn't quite work like that. I just re-spawn and hop in a new T1 cruiser.
Only time will tell who will come out victorious in 9-9, but last night was certainly NOT a win for BoB/FinFleet/RISE save for perhaps the individuals and their KILL DEATH RATIO BACKBONE.

Originally by: TWD Damn, how Goonswarm has fallen and taking things so serious and goal based in a game. What happened to internet spaceships and pew pew?
For all I know it was a ploy by molle to get the goons to defend their POS while we enjoyed massive PEW PEW.
Fair enough, but that isn't to say we didn't enjoy it either. We enjoyed it, completed our objectives and held the field every time. If you guys were just there to have fun, so be it but I highly doubt that.

Are you sure you guys only lose T1 Rifters? Or just T1 Cruisers? I saw plenty of T2 cruisers and Sniper Battleships going down. Just from the BoB killboard you lost 70 battleships on Monday. Just T1 frigates?
I never said we only lost T1 frigs and cruisers last night. I am one of the Battleships that was lost.
What I am saying is the we don't give a crap about our kill-death ratio as a metric for "who wins." I would gladly trade 5 Merlins for one crow. If you used your internet detective skills a little more than you have you might see that "70 battleships" on BoB's kill-board is not the same as "70 GoonSwarm battleships inside 9-9 during the battle."

And we're still kicking your ass without one. OH NOES!
We don't have one now and we don't need one tomorrow. I did have fun bumping the crap out of Shrike in a Griffin though. And yes, I'm still laughing. Why no more titans Boys?

Calm down.
No, really, what I am saying is that all of BoB's awesome kill-death ratio isn't that impressive when you see how many T1 frigs and Cruisers it's padded with. Sure there are BS' and HAC's and inties on there that are in GF. You can consider GoonFleet to be the Zergs of eve. Some of those are big and powerful and up to par with the rest, but the majority of us are just frail and weak, but combined can pack a pretty large punch.
Sure, you killed more Zerg than the other races, giving you a better KILL DEATH RATIO BACKBONE, but in the end the Zerg still swallowed up all of your base made you go bye-bye. That is all I'm saying. K/D ratio is cool and all, but it just doesn't matter in EVE.

I wanted to share this with you all, a BoB member "fire 59" though it necessary to rebut me in EVE Mail and then block all communication with me in game.

2007.07.10 08:05 hey dude, was reading you forum post. You do realise that you only held the field once out of several big fights yesterday don't you? You said you did in all fights yest and just wanted to correct you coz i was there and saw it all
I have GS on block so don't take it personally
fly safe ( but not too safe ^^ )
And by this he means we only didn't hold one; which was 46dp. But then again, maybe this is a language barrier. Maybe he really meant having the entire BoB fleet warp out, letting us loot and salvage all the wrecks and not engaging again until we started repping a new POS is "holding the field."
Sorry fire 59, I hope this wasn't one of those cute "our little secret" kinds of EVE Mails...
