6 months ago I would have said the T2 lottery was the worst thing in Eve history.
However, with the release of Invention, I personally feel that the T2 lottery is no longer overpowered as it once was. Either way, profits derived from lottery wins will be limited by the competition now being able to keep supply at an acceptable level and keep profit margins intact.
That's just my opinion though, that as of right now, I feel there is nothing wrong with the T2 lottery because we have invention to balance the scales. And this is coming from someone who has only won 1 T2 bpo, and bought the rest of his collection.

The coolest thing about the gentlemen with 20 bpos is that his wallet will never dry up, and with the trillions he has amassed he can still rig the prices of any market he choses with little effort.
Invention needs a boost, IMO, 500mil required just to try to invent a ship? Yeah, thanks for making it easier for the little people, CCP. - AwoxEveUtils (EVELauncher, ShiftWindows, ScratchPad) script for AutoIt scripting language!

SO, I think this is one of the last T2 bpos given out in the game.
The lotto has been good to me with about 20 bpos so far, and I might keep this one for EVE sentimental value.
Are you some sort of a**** or something???????

not too mention 1-2 bill for the initial investment on skills + data interfaces...
My opinion is my own, not of my corp or my alliance. If you have problems, we can have a "who can do L4 missions faster" duel >:) |

WTS - A clue
Most T2 bpo's are relatively minimal profit makers. Sure, the markup's are nice, but generally you will find those holding the bpo's aren't running them at full capacity due to limited demand on the items.
And I know a few players/corps in game with 50+ T2 bpo's who wouldn't amass trillions on their prints. Sure, if the OP has a Cap recharger II bpo, a Hammerhead II bpo, a Hulk bpo, one of each command ship bpo, and a Modulated Strip Miner II bpo, I may be proven wrong (in regards to the trillions comment), but you have to remember that there are hundreds of different t2 bpo's in the game. For all you know, 10 of the OP's could be ammo prints, a few mining crystals, and a few standard module prints (afterburner etc).
Not exactly the kind of stuff that makes trillionaires.
edit: cleaned up

You suck! What did you do? Get like 10 accounts with all 3 chars having 5 lvl4 R&D agents?
Some people just take this "being the best" too far.

Or use them as a discount towards high-priced BPOs, albeit with a limit and a scalable system so you couldn't spend 10k RP to get 10% off the market price of a Nyx BPO.
RP = datacores = ISK = discount.
And yeah. Lets pray to the gods that the T2 lottery is dead. I got a reasonable result from it myself, time and skill taken into consideration. But it was a game element that clearly turned out to be problem. Invention will work perfectly as a substitute. The option of going into it is open to all, but skills and brains will play a much larger part than on the T1 market, and will make going the science way what it should have been from day 1.
Now they just need to phase out the T2 BPOs. Exchange them for datacores and level the market.

The thing about Invention is that you have to spend a whole lot of cash to get a T2 BPC, and then negative ME really adds a lot to the cost of the item.
If you factor in the total amount you have to spend to get a single multi-run T2 BPC, then look at how much actual profit you make per ship, sometimes you are at a serious loss.
I think a good fix would be to make the ME penalty less harsh. That would make invention that little bit more profitable.

and? Lets just convert all BPOs to BPCs then if they are not that big of a deal...or better yet all those crappy ones can just be give to me...pffft.
Lottery was lame, regardless of how lame.

U know i wish ccp would give R&D agents a shop also where u could exchange ur rp's for limited run T2 bpc's, but then they should also change it so u wil have to do the R&D agent missions to get rp's otherwise it would be too easy.
This would be nice for the people not interested or can't be bothered to do invention
But invention is why this won't happen.
But, that said, I'd like to buy decryptors for RP :D
Datacores are also dropped in that discovery-searching-out-a-plex thingy, costs-a-bunch-of-probes-and-time thingy, so I would like to exchange my RPs for limited run BPCs, or even save up enough RP to buy a BPO. Heck, even a LP store option- let me cash it out for so many exotic dancers or sommat:)

3 years, 30 Agents, for 1 T2 BPO that makes less profit than most T1 BPOs :(
