How did your fighters kill a Raven 11 minutes before your ship blew up, if they were not launched? More likely they launched fine, but couldn't be controlled, which happens all too often lately.

The way the game is developing is towards large battles over expensive single targets at specific times (POS coming out of reinforced, sov 2/3 timers becoming active, supercaps).
Inevitably, since the targets get ever larger, harder to kill and more expensive, people are forced to bring more and more people to successfully take them on. Blaming people for bringing blobs when bringing small gangs would simply either take an insanely long time to accomplish the same or simply not work is a bit silly.
