Bittery irony, isn't it? CCP introduced the Rev2.0 as anti-blob warfare implementation patch, but in fact with the nerfage of supercaps they turned em into most blob depended ships in the game (due to their incredibly high price?). Probably we won't see motherships and Titans in 0.0 without the huge support blob anymore.
GG CCP.
well they are primarily anti POS and outpost battering rams anyway - carriers are also useful anti blobbish and anti capital ships
CCP have made the BS and numbers count now logistics is more important its balanced and it may take bob a while to adjust ( or expand their own numbers)
expect CCP to make more changes but i think a lot of epeen players will now come to rely more on their support fleets to attack and defend space

Originally by: Oli4Oli4 imo to bad that the guy is crying so mutch. He lost it while he was griefing around without support yet another time...
Good job Pandemic Legion & RZR. Great work i would say nice planning and nice yuo have enough waves of tacklers/dictors. And to bad his E500 spoils the mail a bit
Flame on!
obviously he will only have limited funds at some point he will quit or wake up or fade into a BS or whatever. I like this game that way because its a constant evolution

If it were only 2 dictors that killed the MS - yes. But it wasnt, it was a whole fleet + a lot of dictors keeping it in place. If some hero decides to use a supercap to gank some stranglers on his own, its his own incompetence that got his expensive toy killed.
Well your saying that, but 1-2 dictors (well 3 as a bob guy said) can keep a MS pinned long enough for a fleet to come from miles away. I'm all for making super caps killable, but this is a bit too easy imho.
Anyways its something super cap pilots will have to live with and adapt to (though I do think its a bit 'too easy'). Probably fits their 'easier to built' profile as in 44 or so days the first capital systems start to pop up.
I'll still shed a tear for STK though, they had so much bad luck lately
why does the mothership-carrier not have a support gang of 10 recon ships to deal with the dictors ( obviously the blobs still rely to much on BS blobs) well if goons are smart with RA their tactics ( t1 frigs with light to moederate cap ship support) and a smattering of inbetween ships. Will slowly push bob back remmeber RA are generally quicker to adapt than bob who mostly rely on overwealming firepower and "social engineering" to win the game. RA use exploits, developed tactics, MC Use well executed PVP tactics, Goonswarm use the blob approach.
Its even stevens interesting times ahead - he north will play a factor the big impact over time will be the third parties, the alliances that rise and fall very quickly due to their small size and pet status to the big boys - remember when loosing most alliances fall apart

Three mothership losses within six months! :(
3 moms in 6 months aint bad. Others have lost more more rapidly in the recent wars

Originally by: DeadDuck Good Job Razor and Pandemic Legion.
The days of invulnerability of the Super Caps are over and thats good. No doubt we will see more of them being killed as pilots tend to "solo" in this ships like they used to.
To many times I saw MS's escaping untouched even when completly outnumbered and outgunned. Glad those times are over.
a note tho if supercaps are well supported then they are a lot safer ( as MC are proving time and time again) it may slow down the speed of overall 0.0 warfare but this aint to bad anyway. Will leave more open space for empire residents to fall into

Originally by: xtremecutie Any supercap pilot that logs in with the current state of the servers knows they are taking a risk (even larger than just not being able to jump out of bubbles).
Even if he desynced from the start CCP has shown that they will not reimburse supercaps under any conditions (even when clear evidence from both parties involved is presented) - even if those exact same conditions would warrant reimbursement of a regular ship.
You can't fault the killers for the craptastic state of the servers, and it seems as though they would have got the kill anyway with all the firepower they had.
goonfleet have the advantage but bob could easily change course and counter blob that might repersent the next stage ( of course blobs can be bombed now by stealth bombers) so things realy become balanced.

And looking at the km, he most likely woulda died anyway and im sure he couldt lock past 2km anyway
You do realise motherships can't be dampened right?
can be dictored, bombed with bombs and generally tied down a support fleet as MC are showing is essential
