Yes it has and i thank the community for their input. I would also like to appologise if my origional post was taken in the wrong way, or offended anyone. I realise now that i should't have even bothered.

You know, surprisingly hot for reasons that are hard to fathom. I don't think it's EVE-specific, just that hearing it smashes a stereotype, which is *always* intriguing.
But I think this is the reason why so many girls in EVE keep away from the spotlight. Turning fifty guys into drooling stalkers just because you were giving fitting advice on Vent is probably trTs creepy.
(P.s. People need to get over this whole "women in gaming" thing. Play some wow or something. My old raiding guild was at least 40% female; after two MC raids you got over the fact that it was a sheepish, high-pitched voice calling the CC targets)

At some point all druids in my WOW guild were girls. We didn't plan that, we didn't even notice it at first till one day my wife had her druid-class meeting over Vent on speakers and i didn't hear any guy voices :)
In WOW i knew a lot of girl players, in EVE - a lot less.

I find it funny that so many guys get all angry when another guy is starting a post about girls playing eve. I mean, do you feel harassed by those kind of posts or something? I'm a girl and I do not feel harassed or disrespected by them, so I don't see any reason why you, guys, should.
Yes there are some creepy ******s out there, that will try to stalk/harass every girls playing this game, but it's like that everywhere, in and out of game. Fortunatly, those specimens are not in majority in this game community.
I've been playing eve for almost 2 years now and I enjoy every minute of it.
Yes, it happens to get the "OMG, is this a girl I just heard on vent" comment once in a while when we get new members in the corp but, to be honnest, they all get over it pretty quickly and they see me as their corp/alliance mates, not as a girl they could try to have a date with.
In 2 years, I never got one single harrasment mail from a pervert wanting to cyber and I do not try to hide the fact that I'm a girl. Everyone I play with knows it and if someone asks, I'll tell the truth.
I don't think there is something wrong with wanting to know who you play the game with.
The social aspect of eve is probably the one I enjoy the most. Yes it's fun to get new ships, new mods and new targets to fight against but in the end, it's all pretty similar. However, knowing who are your corp mates and even your ennemies, where they are from, how old they are, what they are doing for a living, etc... is always interesting. I do like to know if the character I'm playing with is a guy or a girl and how old he/she is and it's not because I want to get in someone pants (I have some pants to play with at home ).
Let be honnest, how many of you spent hours just sitting in station doing nothing but talking with your friends over vent/ts. Or doing the same during DT/Patch day. We all do and there is nothing wrong with it.
Anyway, to the op: yes there are some girls playing eve, but unfortunatly not enough. And please, just ignore those who treated you like a perv because you asked the question

There is your answer - You aren't American, you don't see those lawsuites and constant controversy about gender differences. The US is the only country on the face of this planet where "gender" issue is, well, an issue. For the longest time, being a foreigner, i really couldn't understand it. Now that i don't spend nearly as much in the US as i used to - i don't even try to understand it.

I also don't care if they're young, old, or what country they're really from, as long as they play well.
Do any of those "real life" thing matter, or does it matter what ship they're flying, with what fittings, and how well they fly it when in a gang or fleet with you?

Well, I'm female, play Eve and love to PVP. And since we are three females in corp, I guess we are very lucky, being a smallish corp.
I know of (at least) 6 other RL females outside of my corp - one of them I have had the pleasure of flying side by side with in PVP too. Another I said hi to at the Copenhagen Gankathon not so long ago. So yeah, we exist and are not just figment of your imagination. As to armor repairs being sexy??? I guess to me it is more "Primary is..."
