Yesterday i enter'd a system to find a nuetral with 3 red's attacking him, so i convo'd the guy to see if he wanted help, he replied no thank's, as he kill'd of 2 of the bc's in his bs the red's called in a bs to help them as he then called me to help, so i did, we ended up killing all but the neut lost his bs.
the BS belonging to the red's belong'd to the founder of the corp to wich he enter'd a convo asking me not to smack him or call him a noob ect ect,
Not to much later in the same system 1 of them enterd whilst i was cloak'd watching him and anouther red (not associated) the following happen'd. (the following is an excact copy of the log's but as not allowed to name and shame names alter'd and the log's re-written)

I have never in my eve life dis-honoured a 1 v 1 fight and i beg anyone to prove differant so how a taste of own medicine i'll never know, after jumping into a differant ship i thought i'd go and ask why he dis-honoured to get the following.

also to the ceo and founder i used to hold some kind of respect for you lot now i have lost all respect

Some have honor, some don't. don't just trust someone random that u meet in space tho, that's kinda dumb. Also announcing that you're having a 1v1 at a planet in local? not too bright either.

Well...post their actual names. They felt like breaking their word, let everyone know they're not to be trusted. If they actually ransom, it could hurt their income, and it will prevent others from falling for the same trap.

I have had many run in's with the corp and them and their allie's claim to be a resspectfull pirate corp along with that and the fact as i was out aged/ out skill'd i didn't think it was needed, also the guy in local that said he wouldn't interfeer was a red from other unossociated corp and there was only farmers and 1 noob in local at the time so there was little threat of other's joining in imho

First off they constantly gripe about blobs/ganks so this was their shot to have a 100% fair fight they blew it and have ruined any leg they may have had to stand on. Second of all he knew them its not just some random guy in space its people we have been fighting and talking to. And last, there are only two groups of people you would really have to worry about showing up at a planet in that system most times and both had members involved so thats no big deal.
Sav was wrong in thinking he could trust a group that constantly tries to take the moral high ground. Well they just lost it in my opinion.

I would love to name and shame... 2 thing's though
1: i thought it is against the rules
2: the thread is not to flame but to see how many think that it is right or wrong to do what they have done.
The number 2 will let me know if i am being a good pirate or not and if im playing the game right
also im kinda hopeing they see this thread and veiw there opinions so as i know there feeling's on the matter

Pity. I will honour 1 v 1 if it is agreed beforehand but many others will just break it in order to 1) save their expensive ships (don't fly what you can't afford to lose!) or 2) it's a trap.
Lame for breaking it. I never trust 1 v 1 unless I know the pilot.

However you really should know better tbh, any one on one I do is in high sec via can flags, and even that sometimes doesnt work

Uh no, come on...you should no better if you have played this game long enough. And especially if you are in lo or 0.0 sec space for longer than a week. Its your fault. No honor was at stake here. Vengeance was the main course. You were set up pure and simple. They just wanted you dead.

this topic has been flogged to death several times already. the consensus seems to be that hardly anyone honours 1vs1¦s. so if you accept an 1vs1, be prepared to get ganked and dont whine if you do.
on a side note. its forbidden to post names on killmails AND chatlogs

80% of pirates arent interested in a good fight, they just want to gank you, if it get's dodgey they will just dock or run away, too dangerous to 1v1 with a pirate anyway, i wouldnt go as far as saying more often than not it will be a trap, but i would say it is fairly likely.

Yes i agree that it's seem's to be found acceptable to dis-honour 1v1's... that was the point of the thread (for me to find out)

My post wasnt supposed to be a flame at all. if you took it that way, i appoligize. im just saying, there seems to be a consensus that accepting a 1v1 is done at your own risk.
like ive said in another thread here in the sewers, i always honor 1v1¦s that i offer but i always expect 1v1¦s offered to me to be a trap so i wont accept them unless i can afford to lose what im flying.
also, posting here is great fun. dont be put of by grumpy pirates. they¦re realy just cuddly little lambs inside their hard egg-shell thin exterior

I was the neutral and they dishonored it because they were ****ed that they lost 3 BC and a BS to a BS and later a BC.

My experiences with you, however, were from when you were in SHYT and used to come through the CRSQ gatecamps in a shuttle and smack constantly about how you made it through (we didn't use smarties.) I think you actually deserved to die tbh Savage. Afterall your corp from what I hear have many times dishonoured your own fights, and what happened is a true reflection of giving you back to your face, what you have done to others yourself. So stop whinning, your constant forum propagander is obnoxious and is futile. I will add that your corporation has taken the saying "smacktalk" to a level that is below that of a pig in mud, and literally now resort to personal and rather vindictive personal comments as they are unable to compete on the battlefield it appears, and it seems everytime we and other corporations encounter you. If you are unable to speak without cussing someone down personal wise m8, then do not speak at all. For what you have recently been doing, if petitioned which we will not do because petitioning really is shall we say highly unhonourable, youd have many many warnings we feel  So stop your whinning, crying and propaganda, and get on with it basically.

No, honour is not a prerequisite for playing Eve.
In a situation like that I would always ask Admiral Ackbar.
