Hello,
I want gain standing with the Kaalakiota Corporation by doing Marketing missions, because I read on this forum that they give 5% Kill missions and 95% Courrier, and much of them are in the system called Ziona, practical to do some missions simultaneously.
It was the case at begin, but progressively, they give me more and more Kill missions, and now I only do "Refused Refused Refused Refused...", all 4 hours, to my agents, Kan Aarninen & Ichinumo Noutelen, because they now give me ONLY Kill missions, 100% of the time.
This make my standing progress impossible. I must find new agents now >:(
So questions : - Why does Marketing Agents progressively give more and more Kill missions ? A normal process or a bug ? (Petition ?) - Is there a way to make them forget Kill missions, that I can regain Courrier missions ? :)

It may be a bug from one of the Rev2 patches. You could submit a bug report to make sure CCP knows about it.
I used to get It. Then It changed. Now I don't even know what It is.

That's wierd.
The other thing can do is public relations or distribution agent missions. The full list is on my site at this page. -

I've certainly noticed an increase in Kill Missions from my current L3 marketing agent.
I'm fine with it - no complaints. I want to increase my standing quickly to get to the tax free refining threshold with this corp and kill missions are getting me there a lot quicker (and with more fun) than the boring courier missions I was dragging through. This corp doesn't have any security type agents, so this is an unexpected bonus.
It's now around 50/50 (courier/kill), but has increased from 70/30 recently and of my last 4 missions 3 were kill.

Thats most probably the way CCP wants it to be. After all the whining on the Forums about macro and AFK courier Missionrunners. This way they have either to start kill missions aswell, or wont be able to do much more missions with thoose agents because of the standing loss. I'm not sure when it was changed, but marketing does not do 5% kill 95% courier. I noticed this when running missions raising standing with Kaalakiota. The best courier missions, and variety of agents with Kaalakiota is with manufacturing agents. Manufacturing *rarely* gives kill missions.

Thanks. I updated my guide to show marketing correctly. I'll keep an eye out for comments on any other changes to mission mix. -

Try this
The old 5%, 95% stuff you see in people's bios is way outdated. They haven't changed that for at least a year or more.

Edited by: Eve Trashbin on 13/07/2007 17:28:57 I found that the ship type has an influence on the agents, who will give more or less kill missions.
Buy an Ibis, and activate him only the time to have a new mission.

Now that you mention it - this does seem to be true (more testing required before I state that it is true).
I finished a courier mission in my hauler and came back only to be given the same courier mission 2 more times. I left and came back in a BS, I got 3 kill missions in a row.
I'll start keeping notes on this for a while.

This was true, then they broke/changed it to being irrelevant of the ship you were piloting. It sounds like they've restored it to how it originally was - please keep us up to date of your findings.

I haven't done nearly enough testing to prove this theory, but, here are the findings so far:
Of my last 25 missions I've had: 15 combat and 10 courier
I had 4 courier missions in a row once - this was when I finished my courier mission and returned in my hauler to ask for another mission.
I had 3 Combat missions in a row, twice - this was when I got into a battleship and asked for missions.
I've not had more than 2 courier missions in a row while in a combat ship.
I've not had more than 1 combat mission in a row while in a hauler.
Conclusion (if I dare draw one from this scant testing): The ship type does seem to influence mission type.
Testing Continues!

You haven't stated the division of the agent(s) you've been using. That may have an effect on the missions offered.

Sorry - I had this in a previous post - should have restated it. It's a marketing agent Level III Quality 0.
Anyway last night's testing consisted of running 4 courier missions in a row, while the active ship was a battleship.......therefore the theory appears to be stuffed and ship type may not influence the mission type at all.
I'll continue to test and won't be making any more conclusions until I've completed 100 missions. I reckon that might be a sufficient baseline.
