How it disturbs me to see the children of Matar wallowing within the ignorance of enemy propoganda. Here are some truths, please accept them for what they are.
The Great Wildlands are a declared protectorate of the Curse Alliance. Many times it has been declared that any entering, or found to be in, GW space and were not part of the CA would be fired upon and be destroyed. This is not new news, there is nothing sudden in this action. The GW region has been, and will be defended against all intruders.
Oracle fights against slavery, something even our Republic does not do. Corruption runs deep in the Republic, and until a major change occurs within the government we, as well as others involved in the war against slavery, have been forced to move where we have more freedom of action, as well as resources to carry on our war.
The Curse Alliance is vehemously against the principals of slavery, and SLAVERY is what we fight against. We do not war against races, as many of all races support the dismanteling of the slavery system. This is why the CA contains many like Oracle who carry on the battles to free our kin.
War,in any form, requires sacrifice. Whether that is a ship filled with weapons and equipment, or the brave pilots that fight, the resources in Curse allow us and others to replace that which is destroyed. New ships and equipment, the best clones for our brave fighters, the costs are great. We do not line our pockets with the riches of the regions, we spend to insure that we can continue our manifest against slavery.
The decision to close Curse and it's protectorates was made by a vote in the councel. All who are members are represented on this councel equally. The vote was passed and the results were posted, many such declarations have been written for all to see that any who enter uninvited will be attacked and destroyed. This is to protect our home from infiltrators that would do us harm.
How is it then that any can be surprised when it occurs? Perhaps you feel that because you are Minmatar you should receive special consideration? Many or our own people work openly for the enemies of freedom. MASS (Ministry of Amarr Secret Service) as well as Evolution and almost every Stain Alliance corp contains Minmatar. Perhaps knowing that you were travelling into a declared war zone, communication may be a wiser choice than simple actions.
So do not be so hasty in your words condemming us as pirates, for we are not. We do not kill for loot. We do not chortle with glee as we destroy helpless vessels. Our people did no more or less than any would if their home were invaded, and I grieve for the losses.
