Hehe,
You can RP anything you choose without tying yourself to one of the existing factions. That doesn't mean that you're a bad RP'er, if anything, it shows you have imagination.

After reading through it I must say cudos for the tenacity of Jade and the JF corp however...
As in all things in life there are extremes, which with the odd exception is rarely any good especially concerning politics and ideals. Zealotism, fanatism, extremists whatever the "definition" are all in base negatively "charged" and is not something I personally support in any way. It often leads to narrow perspectives hence political and/or normal debate will be very one-way minded and almost impossible to conduct on an intellectual level since the end result will be defined by the the parameters of extreme ideology/concept ect...the same point.
I bow before Jade however in her devotion to her/corp beliefs(offcourse all this is in-character, so no personal pun intended)and the strength to uphold them especially in the cesspit that is our beloved and hated forums
We might or might not think her ways are "right" if there is such a thing but we can at least respect them as a fellow player and stop all the flaming wars. Its tiresome, boring and offcourse very non-progressive.
But then again this plea is hardly new
If I spell words wrong remember not all (including myself)are english-speaking by default. Yes I have english class when I went to school but that is something entirely diffrent than actually understanding the complexities, culture and special expression combinations in a language not being our primary. I hope this will serve as a reminder when cheap low-blows like "learn to spell" ect comes up.
To the point:
I think it was just an ordinary chat log, she answered your petition to interview her a little and thus there are 2 outcomes, the objective and the not-so objective. Which is better for the public? well ill let people figure that one out themselves
All in all i think its good but that jade is sometimes a bit heavy, sometimes I have to read the posts several time to actually understand the complicated machinery of her use of the english vocabulary when her message could have been said a lot easier
At any rate I apllaud her on the efforts, dont agree with her extremist views, think her RP is a bit too strong if that is what it is but applaud her views in a player to player respectful way if you wish.
Nice log Pojo and interresting it was.

You should put those memes in escrow in Nonni system Morkt. I bet someone would buy them.
Seriously though, whats needed at the moment is a mimetic antidote. Ironically it'd probably look like a pair of black sunglasses.

Jade, I must remark that your views on states and individual freedom are only possible in a world of abundance. Minmatar slaves don't care about your ideas, what they do care about is how to live through the day.
Being opposed to any form of inherited hierachical authority structures is luxury not everybody can afford.

Eve is the first MMORPG I've played, and from the time I began playing (around Beta 3-4), I understood Roleplaying to be a way of playing which involved using the history/storyline provided to support, or oppose, an ideal or value a particular group posessed.
I can see that JF opposes all current forms of political and economic structure, and believes that the ideology that they have created would better serve the universe. So if you look at their stance, JF should really come under fire from all loyalist groups becasue of the fact that their revolutionary ideas may plant the seed of discontent.
**Personally, I believe this ideal will inevitablely fail due to the fact that humans act on thoughts of self interest, its what motivates people. Thoughts of power, greed, revenge etc... but good luck, I wouldnt mind living in the society you speak of

I have to say that Pojo here has some very limited ideas of what roleplaying is supposed to be. In my opinion : roleplaying can be as little as just saying stuff "in-character", and nothing more.
On the other hand, JC imho enjoyed puzzling the guy with extremely complicated political views (preferably with as many unknown or complex words as possible) .. Which is RP to be sure, as she obviously is doing this in-character, but whatever, it was a waste of time to read the entire interview
My 2 cents : - Pojo doesn't know what roleplaying is - JC has way too much free time on her hands

Of course, I'd expect technology utopiaist cults like Jericho to say that...
Some of us in JF think you will make big bucks at the cutting edge of a revolution. Also as a fairly loyal Caldari I will defend Starsi from the Gallente members more agressive actions. The war with the Lame Ducks is as far as I know a full out pod them out of the world war.

i think what pogo wants/needs is some kinda of story on how the jericho fraction came about, tying it in with the rp that the creators made for the game, for example...
after/durin the caldar-gallente war, there where hippies that didnt wana get drafted so they all took too many boosters got some wacked out idea on creating a liberal socialist communist utopia society that inbread alot creating a whole new race called jericho bunnies that then trained all the britanica encyclopedia volumes to lvl5 and decided to get into politics and created the jerich fraction, there u have it pogo and ur excuse for killin em is for bein cowards that did not fight in the caldari-galente war, throw some good old propaganda and facistism in too about there cross and in breading and how they use contraband boosters too much and sell them too caldari kidies. :-)

Interesting how you had to take boosters to be anything but a conservative capitalist...
What are they, liberal, socialists or communists? You can't just blanket smear them with everything you're not to see what people pick up on and discredit them for.

From what I read does this mean JF wish to see a society composed of purely independant members linked via rapid communication and transportation technologies without and form of centralised leadership or hierarchical structure to impose social norms?

No the Jericho Fiction is a group of players that do nothing ingame, talk a lot on the forums, and expect people to take them seriously.
Although their 3 page posts about non-existant roleplay and "political movements" can be amusing at times, they are totally non-consenquental at the end of the day, and the Jericho Fiction group end up getting kicked out of alliances for talking too much and stirring trouble with their hollow influence and forum warfare.
When confronted with these realities they wage forum war on the accusers and try to degrade their credibility in anyway that they can. Unfortunatly since the number of people that take them seriously has dropped rapidly in the past few weeks, they resort to unleashing Miso. This little man tries to justify the faint existance of his corporation by calling people very humiliating names and accusing them of being all sorts of bad bad people (!).
But in the end of the day, the result is the same. The Jericho Fiction are a bunch of amusing forum monkeys led by Jade in their eternal quest to make people take them seriously via lots of words, multiple posts, and sexually orientated french roleplay.
Thx! -

Its not about doing superiour things ingame. You can sit in a station in Empire Space doing agent missions, thats ok and understandable.
Dont expect people to take you very seriously when you post on the forums about an ideological political movement that will create a new utopian society in 0.0 space by destroying geopolitical paradigms and uniting humanity under the umbrella of the near-endless rescourses that technology provides.
Yes very nice idea, very amusing, very interesting. But you're sitting in a station in empire space dreaming about it while other people fight for control in 0.0 regions.
Do something that counterbalances your immense forum occupation, and maybe you'll be taken seriously. -

Oh dear Viceroy, you sound so bitter. Its such a shame that your peerless depiction of caldari nationalism and fascist lunacy has not made you terribly famous. Ah well, perhaps you should take a leaf from Pojo's book and destroy a few frigates in luminaire? Either that or content yourself with a drowsy twilight of virtual irrelevence.
Still live and let live eh? Its all good fun and games. You can even come to "la maison..." if you promise to be good and keep in character.

Viceroy, you know nothing about me, so don't presume to know. I use the forums as an extension of the game, just as you do.
Secondly, "taken seriously"? What does the mean exactly? I don't need to be "taken seriously" by anyone. I don't need any validation from you, or to be judged by your criteria. How arrogant.
I don't tell you how to play the game, and I don't pass judgement on what you do in game, so what gives you the right to do that to me?
