Is that mission still the only available source for those physics and engineering skillbooks you need for research agents?

I don't know of any other source for them right now. For what it's worth, the last two times I have completed that mission, I didn't get any skillbooks.

Yes, I just recently started to hunt for them, and in the two missions of those I've got so far, no skillbooks either...

Seems to be a source if not the only source. I got 2 different books yesterday; Sold them for a good profit since I don't plan on doing any RnD soon. The other two times I ran the mission, I got some RAM and other invention/T2 production materiels. ------ It's a basic truth of the human condition that everybody lies. The only variable is about what. |

Any more experience with that mission? Or any other sources found for the R&D skillbooks?

Well I usually get this mission about three times a week and then I keep them open for a week. The last couple of weeks I have recieved 4 skill books for every seven runs. Most of these tend to be the cheaper skills like starship engineering and such.
On each run through I also receive some passengers, ammo, and tools of one sort or the other.
***** I've been set adrift is a sea full of idiots!

Maybe they actually are just dancing to pay their way through school?

are these books given as the mission reward or are they from a structure in the mission? I've never seen one and done that mission a few times.

They are from a structure in the last room of the mission.

One of the wanted structures or do I need to blow up everything in there?

The name of it just changed recently. But it's the mobile residence or pleasure hut or something like that. It is always on the overview.

Ta very much.
Of course now that I know that, I will never ever ever never get the 'Silence the Informant' mission again
Is there any other missions that have structures that should be killed for cool stuff, or is that all secret hush, hush stuff?

Most of the mission running guides will list whether it is worth blowing any structures up. If I can think of any other missions where you always want to blow stuff up, I'll list them.

Of course you will not get Silence the informant again
Other missions with structures with nice stuff in is:
- Massive attack lvl 3 - Overseer's stash (bonus room). May drop a +3 implant
- AE lvl 3, Angel Storage silo in room 5. Drop a random hardwiring implant. Also structures in bonus room drop stuff sometimes
- AE lvl 4, same as lvl 3 but the structure is in room 4 (storage facility I think)

AE Level 4 has a couple of structures that drop useful things - but it takes a lot of firepower to blow up one of the buildings. Of course, there are 30K Bane torps in the building, so you'll get something for your trouble.
