you back it up in L4 missions with your logistics megathron alt

yes yes, I am not as uber as you, but this is EVE and I like being able to do the same thing in 5 different ways
I know having the faction modules is the dogs dangly bits but my navy raven will have to wait
my alt was sat there inventing/building(he had done his minerals run) and I thought "ooohh look at that BS sat there doing nothing"
so I stuck some named shield transfer arrays on her,4, and lots of cap related stuff to keep it charged up(3 T2 cap rechargers,3 T2 PDUs,named cap booster, 3 CCCs) with 5 heavy shield maintenance bots
started a nasty L4(one below top tier,in terms of difficulty) , and once I was fully aggroed I brought my logistics mega in, put the bots on my CNR and one shield transfer array, when I finished mission my CNR had 100% shields and caps
with one transfer array she is good indefinitely, with 2 she is good for 3-5 mins , with 3 alot less , i have a 4th on there, that is my heat "overload" version

so when you don't have gisti stuff for your CNR . . .
...you fly level4 missions easily in a tech2/named fitted std raven.
Faction stuff is only for posing / fun / incresing income / afk mode.
But level4 missions are well doable without any faction toys.
If you need a second ship to accomplish level4s, better get back to level3

was thinking the same thing
plus i used to do lvl 4's solo in a megathron with t1 guns. more tactics than anything else tbh.

I do the exact same thing but with a Domi as support. It can run 2 Large shield transfers, 1 large remote cap recharger and projected ECCM permanetly, plus shield/armour drones in case of emergency.

I just use 2 Ravens with same setup except the other one has one large shield transporter.
Using one BS for repping only is a waste of time when both can deal damage.

The real reason to go faction, at least low-end, is fitting. Even with perfect fitting skills a raven runs low on cpu and it really helps if you can plug in a faction mod or two.

I do that in Battlecruiser. Drake and logistics myrmidon. Actually works out very nicely. Drake tanks entire levels of any lvl 4 mission against all 4 damage types. Myrmidon has two medium shields transfers and only really needs to use one.

to those doom mongers and spoilsports and forum trolls, it was for a bit of fun and variety
to the smiley objector  
to others ,I manage L4 just nicely on my own(most missions without warping out) as I said it is nice to be able to do things away from the norm or perfectly like some of you no doubt do
and my alt is too busy training his sciences/industrial skills at the moment, next on agenda will be logistics
to the "2 ravens" chap, sounds a good idea but my alt is more science/industry and now training to be support, he has no big gun skills, though I have fitted 4 smaller hybrids for close range(like frigs and drones)
