Though I might add (and I would have used the edit button if it did work) that I hate the de-sync as much as anyone else, haven't really lost a ship to it yet but I have been affected by it... 5 vs 5, I was bait in Domi MWDing towards the gate and didn't see anything happen after my mates warped in. No damage updates, no cap updates, no damage messages, I didn't get closer to the stargate, I saw it about 7 km away but me corpies saw me right on the gate...all I could do was to keep the reppers going and continue to add cap chargers... --- I had a cool siggy but it had the wrong corp in it, then my server died :( |

No. The Goverment would hire more doctors rather then hiring ballet dancers and jazz percuscionists.

I've desynced a few times in combat, though luckily I haven't lost a ship over it. Client/server issues seem much more frequent under the fleet system than in a normal gang, though. I wish there was a way to get bonuses without having to use the laggy, buggy fleet stuff.
It is funny to hear the FC say to move on to the next target while you're still orbiting and scramming the primary, though. _____ Heat Warfare |

if they did a like-for-like avatar and equipment swap? A lot less players.
Totally agree with fixing game breaking bugs as a priority. They could start by encryption our client logs and thus making them non-fakeable too.

Completely mixed metaphor.
The people employed to add content can (largely) assist in the need for speed initiative.
For example, graphics engine coders can revisit the existing graphics engine and address bugs and inefficiencies. Mission designers can revisit existing missions and understand what causes lag. And don't even try to tell me that the people who coded the intricacies of heat (nice though it is) would have been unable to look into module lag and desynchronisation instead, had that been CCPs priority.
With the upcoming graphics engine I wonder if there's some kind of wholesale (or at least partial) re-write coming, and they don't want to divert resource from that to make temporary hacks in code that has a limited shelf life.
But maybe I'm an optimist ;)
