I don't even think that the voice actors have the same sort of style they do now :(

The general atmosphere is perfect and the highs and lows of the piece correspond extremely well with the changes and variation of the actual gameplay. The fact that it's from the C64 era of gaming makes the feat even more impressive. There are many other amazing pieces of game music and I certianly love many of the choices people have already posted, but Rob Hubbard and zoids hold the top spot for me.
