Personally I dont have anything against carbears, and I dont see why people shouldnt be allowed to play reasonably safe in highsec as it is now.
From the day I could fly a Rifter ( I started with just 80k SP's mind you, not 800k ) I ventured into lowsec. Fully prepared, cheap gear ( or as cheap as it gets ), platinum insured, clone upgraded, and no implants. Well, after been blown up a few times, I figured auto pilot isnt very good in lowsec :p So I warped to within 100km, so I could warp away asap when pirates were camping.
I evolved a bit, lost a few more ships, took a break from EVE ( RL WoW friends wanted me back :p ), got back on EvE.
Few days ago I decided to check out Jita, damn, how could I have been so stupid to think that Jita would be interesting with lots of people to trade with ... Lag, crash, lag, DC, wait a few hours, logon again, back online, finally bought the stuff I want ...
Then I come across a gate camp, barely avoided it :p
On the other side I see a wreck, I try to loot it, crapola, some pirate jumps in and I am too slow to get away, blasted in pieces.
It is a thrill, tho, cause this time it went bad, but overall I have looted for over 100 million worth on items, leftover from pirates, or by helping others to kill a pirate and then loot his T2 stuff :p
So I will stay in lowsec for a while, I also ventured into 0.0, just the borderline ones. I can tell you it is not a good idea to rat next to a jumpgate :p
I lost so many ships and got podded alot, but I dont care, it are calculated risks, and I never lost much. Only some 1 point implants and 2 x 2 point implants ( gotten from missions, yah I was dumb, should have sold them instead of using them :p )
Now missioning my way up in lowsec so I can install a jump clone in a Republic Fleet station.
Then I am gonna get back to those evil pirates that gangbanged me !!! :p
