Phinger	Posted - 2007.07.12 03:35:00 - [64] Actually our CEO was mistaken, we recently had a new member join who was massively expeierenced in the game. I think upwards of 20 million sp who joined our budding corp for something new. He was the loser of the hulk and basically dwarfs the corp in sp and money. He made the mistake of not watching lcoal...and he is use to it. Atm I dont think the corp wallet rubs more than 20-50 million isk together since we are only just establishing a mining routine now. The comment above is indeed from our CEO posting in officer forums basically wanting to avoid such an early wardec in our new corps. The majority of our players are scared to even cross the 0.5 space border let alone out of cruisers in training. The Majority of who werent online for this hostility. Even with all the finger pointing and accusations. I can say this as one of the officers of ANZEC. Astus thought he was helping keep the player distracted from finding our mining operators. Keep him hot and talking to him....means he wont be looking so hard for the fat slow target. Was the behaviour and tone gone too far.....yah I have to side with Repo and Magnus it was too far. And all I was doing was trying to get away. I didnt even talk in corp chat in case i screwed up, and typed in loocal and make him wonder who we were. Will Astus be discplined? Most likely yes. Will Astus be asked to leave the corp? No he has been a huge support to our new corp and a lot of new players that are coming in to EVE himself included is a very new player. Do we want a Wardec? well we know in the future as a corp as we grow its expected. Will ships be lost....thats part of eve, but right at this junction of our corp with so many actually new players its not something these new players needed. So as a sign of concillation, waving the olive branch I already spoke to magnus earlier, and he suggested i get the ceo to post the above cut and paste from officer chat. Can I ask all parties to just step back for a sec ...make some peace offering and say we got off on the wrong foot. To Repo, yes you will wipe the floor with us.....not a doubt in my mind, trust me when i am still teaching players about Armor repairers and what they do on ships......your going to slaughter us. Its just that basic. What does it achieve....well u will get a lot of easy kills....but drive 20-30 players to quit. Personally I would hope the wardec gets toned down and if you see us in lowsec and u kill us we take it on the chin and maybe when we a little bit bigger and a little more estblished with skills maybe then we could take the rivalary to a wardec. They end up getting war dec'd and try to make the other corp look like idiotic bullies. I highly recommend paying them whatever they ask of you and then keep your mouths shut in local or on forums because behavior like that draws a crowd and you're likely to get more than one war dec out of the bargain.

And as another hint, if you don't have the firepower to back up your actions, just back off. Low sec is dangerous, especially for miners. If you are a lonely miner you will usally die and it is not worth the profit. As a sidenote, I think it is funny that a 1-month old char mines in low sec in a hulk and then seriously complains of getting killed. IF you want to mine in low sec, choose cheap ships like the mining cruisers, their yield is with good cruiser skills also very high and they are easy to replace. But no, it needs to be always the 'best', the most expensive... A few skills doesn't make you a skilled pilot

The Hulk pilots was a fool for flying that ship without escort/protection in low sec and more of a fool for complaing about losing it in the first place. Any pilot that operates in low sec should be aware of the risks he takes and should act accordingly - your pilot did not. Good job REPO!

In addition, how it was used was a very racially offensive insult to both Germans and Jewish alike. Being young or new to the game gives you no free passes on your conduct nor reputation in game. Yeah, the OP should never have started this thread, but he's new to the community and isn't aware of how this game has changed over the years and now there are way too many people who want an 'arcade-style, log in and shoot sh1t, then log off' game, instead of the deeply involved game the creators intended. He's finding out the hard way, whereas a week on this forum would have pointed out the 'character' of many of the players he might face. It's really none of my business, and I wish both corps all the success they deserve. I just wish you would all put down the dress rehearsal clothing and just play the game.
