I have Social 4, Connections 4, and negotiations 4 trained. The agent I work for has quality 19, and effective quality of 45.
A couple nights ago, I completed my 90th successful mission in a row. I logged out knowing that I now could use mediocre lvl 3 agents. The next morning, I log in only to find that my faction and corportaion standing has dropped by a little over 1.2 points. Yes, I know about the bugs so I did everything mentioned here in this forum to no avail. I petitioned and was told that this bug may have started when I first started missions and now, it has been corrected.
The agent I use requires a standing of 2.95
I've done 90 successful missions in a row and the GM is telling me that a .18 corporation standing increase is correct.
Does this sound right????

You haven't mentioned the agent quality.
I know with my sepentis agent in Fountain, I have to do about 200 to 300 missions to get to about 1.00 standing. It could be that your agent is even crappier than my agent.
What's his base quality? Nothing to see here .... move along. |

I don't know if there's anything wierd going on, but if my math is correct, your standing based on your transaction history matches the standing displayed in your char info screen. It doesn't show any loss of standing since you failed a mission 3 weeks ago. (ouch, those early failures really hurt, eh?) Don't know what to say. Based on the transactions, everything looks kosher.

Yeah for some strange reason both the top end (8+) and the low end (under 1) standing increases are very low.
I noticed as soon as I reached the 8ish range the standing increases became less and less using the same agent. While on the other hand my second account takes forever and a day to get to a level 2 agent. 10-15 missiosn done and still at .02 standings. While my normal account is at social 5, connections 4, negoiations 4, and agent EQ is 41 gets almost the same amount of stnadings increases.

There is also a big difference between L1 and L3 agents.
"When standings are being modified by X%, it's not X% of your current value, it's X% of the distance left to max out. So if f.ex. you have 2.0 in standing, a 10% increase is not 0.2 which would take you to 2.2. It's 10% of (10.0 - 2.0), or 0.8, which would take you to 2.8. What this means is that the higher your standing number, the slower it grows. A 9.9 standing is thus unbelievably much better than a 9.8 standing, when compared to f.ex. the diff between 0.0 and 0.1.
Likewise, when you're losing standings, except the max there is -10.0. Thus if you are at +10.0 (theorhetically impossible), and you get a 1% standing loss, it'll carry you down to [+]9.8. Real bad news, compared to if you were at 0.0 or -9.0." - Papa Smurf (Agent Q&A Thread 2)

But thats the thing. I needed a 2.95 to use this agent (lvl 2). This is the same agent I have used for 90+ successful missions in a row. No declines, no fails, no turning down any offers.
I find it odd that all those missions (successful) in a row net .18 standing increase

This is lovely. I've done 25 missions since the 1.2+ standing disappeared and I've raised my standing .55...
so 90+ missions (three important)= .18 increase
and
25 missions ( one important) = .55 increase
this is whacked

Its either some weird bug, or a crappy agent. I was doing some missions for a lvl3 agent to get my corp standing up from 0.0, to be able to use a high end researcher. Went from 0.0 to 1.78 in 36 lvl3 missions (only one of them was important, and that one did 0.6 corp standing alone), bringing my total (including connections) to 2.75. But i sometimes have the feeling that its a bit factions standing dependant (which is quite high in my case) In addition the last lvl1 i tried(one mission to get the connections working) did only 1/8 of the average increase my lvl 3 does. A lvl 2 i tried for statistics did nearly the same as the lvl3 (70% of the average, roughly), though i didnt do many, its very unaccurate, also strange (both were high quality)
(For reverence: social 4, the others 3)

She logged on, checked her agent list, and it blitzed her connections bonus, as per Papa's bug. You'll notice that her connections level of 4 is aproximatly good for around 1.2 if her current standing is around 2 -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

Important and Combat missiosn will raise more (a lot more in the case of Important) then courier missions.
Soo...
If you had 90 low priority courier missions in a row that netted very low % faction increases, then did 25 missions, with 2 or 3 Important and alot more combat, you would see a far greater gain.
Heck, with 1 important mission you would see alot greater gain. Important missions are the only ones that i really care about at this point, as they are the only ones that have any significant impact on my corp standings. Its too bad they dont boost the agent too, as my agents dont really like me
Anyways, id recommend examining your transaction records to help you piece it together. If you see alot of very low gains, then a lot of very high gains, that could explain your odd results _______________________________________________

UGH!
Throw the bug out the window. I need a 2.95 to use this agent. Here it is plain and simple:
90+ missions gave me .13 increase (3 important)
25 missions gave me a .55 increase.(1 important)
Maybe I'm crazy but something just doesn't add up

NOT ALL MISSIONS ARE THE SAME (as 2 other people have posted).
Looking over my missions I have a low of 0.08% and a high of 1.1% that is not including important missions which range from 5.7% to 7.2%.
So it would take 90 of my lowest % missions to equal 1 of the highest.
SO 80 missions does equal 80 missions. It depends on what missions, what agent, what quality, what effective quality, negotiations skill etc. That being said petition it if you think it is wrong. If your petition is denied then your choices are very limited.
