I don't doubt TTI has changed. And in large its thanks to Gunny.
TTI was lacking severe leadership when many execs decided to take a break, but not resign. In fact, in contemplating open rebellion or desertion, they still didn't resign.
Those forces are gone for now, and I'm glad to see TTI recovering again. ___________________________________________ Join in the NEW Sci-Fi Quiz |

Tehre was once a time when TTI was a bunch of rich buisnessmen with too much cash and not enough sense.
Wasn't till the likes of GunnyP came around and started gathering us together to fight against enemies of the corp and the state did things change.
He was a pioneer of PvP within TTI, he's also a good leader in the heat of combat. If your seriously considering PvP, get to TTI. Reverend Necrona |

Damn good recruiting post! Must say that even though I'm a woman with spunk (and Jade, I'll lock you back some time ) I do have my fellow JEDI members to tend to.
Good to see that Viceroy will join you (didn't he say he was a n00b wanting to join TTI, or I'm I just hearing wrong again).. =)
Hmm.. me thinks maybe JEDI should recruit soon again.. need more mining lasers to keep up with battleship production..
Oh.. for the guys who are thinking about joining TTI, they are an honest and good corp.. building up to former glory with good and fun management. (and no, I don't get paid to write this, wish I were cuz I could need the isk)

Nahà IÆm still stuck reading ô101 ways to deal with has-been TTI members that have turned into forum trolls.ö
I read the cliff notes tho!
Seriously thoughà TTI is a lot different than when you were in DStroy. I hear a lot of the people that quit TTI bemoaning about how the ônew TTIö is not as good as the ôold TTIöà I happen to like the new TTI just fineà and so do the members in Taggart now.
The members of Taggart have done what was called impossibleà we have turned the most hated and hunted corporation in EVE around and made it a respected and well thought of Corp. again. IÆll take my share of the credit for that feat.
We are profitable and we are having funà what more is there?

Ah, I was merely pointing out that the CEO of TTI hasn't actually himself gotten around to reading the book from which the former TTI was built up. Nothing wrong with that, as you said it is a different TTI. One could obviously wonder why you chose to stick with the name when you haven't even read the book, and as you said it had its share of bad PR in the past.
Most of the people I've spoken to who left TTI don't seem to care anymore what happens to the corp, it is for many just another corp out there, which is also why I think those that whine around do so, afterall we never wanted to be yet another corp, and as anyone who was there during the first year of TTI's existence will tell you, we sure as hell weren't yet another corp out there.
I do recognise that it must have taken a fair share of work from your side to keep the company in the game from the position you took over from when Ragnar had to leave due to RL stuff, for that one can only praise you. Keeping the corp alive is a feat, and I know only few people who might have been able to pull it off. Still, for many oldtimers who were in TTI when what you call the old TTI was still in exististence look at the current "new TTI" they see yet another corp, which just happens to bear the insignia and name of TTI, and I fully understand how that to many can can seem frustrating or even angering, afterall it is the same name they associate with those "good old days" but aside from that shell of name, signature and look it is as I said just another corp. I think anyone who was there during the first year of TTIs existence will agree that it was anything but yet another corp.
You were asking what aside from being profitable and having fun there is, in that regard I assume my views are also fairly tainted by that first year of building the corp from the early beginning towards that clear vision that we had. While having fun and being profitable is enough for you, and most people playing the game for that matter, mediocracy was never something we wanted to settle for, "Strive for perfection, settle for excellence" in many ways describes what we worked for, we never wanted to be just another corp, we never said fun and profits would be enough, but as you say things change and I can see how that change will anger and sadden people who were there working towards that perfection, only to see the same corp name now living and aparently enjoying mediocracy. That said the future awaits, and perhaps some day TTI will once again be more than what it is now, until that day and realisation comes I hope you'd atleast read Atlas Shrugged, as it would help you, even if you choose to keep the new TTI as it is, if only for the understanding of the past...

Yes, it was afterall our goal to try to destroy everything we had spent hours every day building up from scratch for over a year....
-.-
That you enjoy the new TTI is great, that doesn't change the fact that it is but a shadow of what it once was, another corp in the sea of similar midsized corps that is out there, nothing more, nothing less. It's like living in a suburb with the 2.4 children family, for some it's enough, others want the penthouse apartment in Manhattan and Ski Lodge in the Rockys...

You just don't get it. The reason why it is a shadow of what it once was, isn't because of who is in it now, or who leads it now, or even our direction now; it iss because of where we took it from. The old reign left TTi on the brink of destruction. There was nearly nothing left of the 'greatness' that old TTi was. Just a name that the rest of eve associated with dog **** you scrape off of your shoe.
You claim that it took over a year of hard work to get old TTi to the greatness that it once was. Today, we are fighting a similar battle. We are building TTi to greatness from the dust. Any base that we might have had was easily negated by the problems we were left. And, in case you missed it, an old disgruntled member took it upon himself to strip what assets were left from old tti and assets that were built from new tti. And in case you missed it, old TTi still supports this member.
It took you over a year to build TTi up to greatness. Don't ***** when we aren't there yet after 3 months.
I am not going to continue this topic any further on this thread. If you wish to contact me to resume, you know now.

So what's your point? Ok, so we don't have as much fame and fortune as Ragnar did.
You talk about how Taggart is striving to be 'just another corp.' Well, let me ask you this. What about Chung Kuo? Who has heard of them? Not that many people. Do you just want to become another mediocre corporation in the world of EVE? Ever hear of the phrase 'practice what you preach'? Just my thoughts on things.
As for TTI. We don't want to become 'just another corp.' One day I hope to see TTI back at the top. Now, if we have to take a slower route to get there, then so be it. But that is our goal.
