my friend told me about this game and said it was difficult, but he didn't tell me everyone would be mad if i made a post on the forum to say hi.
i'm a bit of a newbie to online games! i played world of warcraft but it was a bit childish so i thought i'd try eve out.
well, i'm signed up for a month, so your not getting rid of me that easily lol ;P maybe i'll be killing some of u in game soon!

Welcome to EVE! Don't get too dismayed by the reaction of some on the forums, the EVE community in general is a pretty cool bunch.
Do you know much about the game, like do you have ideas of what you want to do? Or are you in that mode of figuring out what direction you'd like to take?

you'll see that some are evil, more have a strange sense of humour but the community is friendly
They're a lot of old people here and they never see a presentation like yours so they're have some problem to adapt. Try to not disturb them, Nurse (Wrangler, Hutch...) have a lot of problem to calm them after
