Only the frigates scramble. Once you've killed all the frigates, you can warp safely.

Hi Karl,
I'll say again. NOT only the frigates scramble. In a mission yesterday (War Something part 2 of 2) and the Amarr cruisers scrambled me :)

I've also had the issue of being scrammed and not knowing it by NPCs before. Taking out the frigates first is certainly a good precaution, and eveinfo.com will tell you which ships scram for any missions that are listed on it (which sadly isn't all of them).
As far as noticing the o0o0o0o rings of a scramming ship... I never have. If it's coming from a frigate are they frigate sized rings? |

I would love to have overview settings that would allow me to highlight ships using ecm against me.
This would be handy from both a PvE and PvP perspective.
In a ship with the electronic technology that these have (perhaps with the exception of Minmatar ships) you would think that my ship would warn me that someone is attempting to use a form of Electronic Warefare against me.
Even comparatively low tech modern day military combat aircraft do that now, with '*****ing Betty' informing you of enemy lock etc
You would think that when my battleship detected an interceptor attempting to lock me, that there would be a minimum of flashing lights, sirens and "warning, warning' voice recordings there to alert me to this fact...

You just go ahead and point out to me which military organization utilizes minivans in its arsenal, and I might begin to consider you as something besides a worthless troll with no reading comprehension.

Go look up "Technical" on wikipedia. Civ van, preferably flat-bed to be sure, with any largish calibre gun bolted on.
I believe the "AK47" tabletop rules class them as an OMGIAT - "Oh My God It's A Tank!"
And funny enough not to be a troll in any case IMHO.

i'd be fairly happy if they were to change the visual effects of being warp jammed so they were different from the visual effects of having invuln fields running.
lost several ships over that now and it's annoying to replace battleships you didn't need to lose.

Damage Control II
60% structure resists go along way....
And then you realize that with another power diag II instead of the DCU II, you'd have more cap to run a few more booster cycles, more shield and faster natural recharge, and overall you'd have fared better.
DCU II are very good for pvp, but for pve there is more usefull modules...
DCU IIs are awesome for armor tanks, but for shield tanking there are more useful modules. The SPR II or PDU II will almost always be better for a shield tank.
But when you hit a lag spike or a oh crap moment, that little extra cap or shield boost wont help when your in structure. --------------- This sig has been censored in fear of recieving the ban hammer... |

if you couldnt tank all sh... shooting you, so kill small ones first, till no1 mission which couldnt be done with CNR good fitted...more missions now much more easiest then before, boring .... only killing npcs one by one spawn.

I had the same problem as the OPer for the longest time. I was losing a BS a week from getting scrambled.
Basically, my best advice is to train up Tech 2 medium Drones and use them to kill any small ships BEFORE you get to the point where you might have to warp out. Tech one drones just don't cut it because they kill too slowly.
A good rule of thumb is anything with less than a 50,000 bounty is a potential scrambler and should be destroyed as soon as possible. However, don't send your drones out until you have all the argo on you.
Most scramblers will be frigs and you will be able to identify them on sight once you do certain missions a few times. Until then, just make it a priority to get your tech 2 Drones out there and on the smaller NPCs. Just be mindful of argo and pulling an entire pocket on accident.
