I'm about as organised as a chav-led raid on Gateshead's Federation Brewery (So no. Not that Federation), and I could use some advice on how to group everything up and cram them into some cans. And get rid of a few things, like those Training Complex Passkeys. Long story. Found them in a jetcan and swiped them. Any pointers? No, they're containers that you have to buy within the station you want to use them in because their insane capacity (Either very spacious or infinite) means they can't fit into any ship. It's sort of similar to a folder on your Hard Drive. Except in this case the drives are stations and you can't move the 'folders' over to other 'drives'. And yeah... already knew about station containers. Whatever you do DONT use Station Containers. they are exceptionally anoying when trying to get rid of them. Try using General Freight containers. they come in neat 120km3 boxes and can also be named. They dont lock and you can repackage them any time you need.

But if you want to keep them, I usually have 4 containers in my home stations. 1. Highs (High Slot Modules) 2. Mids (Mid Slot Modules) 3. Lows Low Slot Modules) 4. Misc (Corpses, Tags, keys ammo ect ec) Makes station life so much easier

Get 8 'general freight' containers and label them as follows: Highs, Mids, Lows, Ammo & Drones, Tags/Logs/Keys/Skills/Blueprints, Minerals, Misc crap., Named Stuff. For the tags/keys a small container will work fine. For 'named stuff' unless you've been darn lucky a giant secure will be adequite. The use of general freight containers or even station containers is simply for the massive storage space that giant secures (still) don't provide.

I have SO MANY BLOODY vaults I abandoned months ago but gave up trying to get rid of. On topic, a friend claims he has never recycled any of his junk stuff, nor thrown it away. I had a peek in a few of his hangers when I was in the same corp as him (1.5 years ago), and I'm sure he had billions of isk in crap loot, just in those few hangers. He could probably build a titan by now if he reprocessed it all (he's been playing for 3 years). Made my 'can't be bothered to look' collections look pretty tiny... and my global asset list lags me out in a pretty big way if I haven't closed the tabs. You have to keep them empty and untouched for three weeks to clear the logs before you can sell or reprocess them. WTB "clear audit log" option.

Mission loot / salvage gets dumped into "to be sorted" until I can be bothered to sort it usually once every couple of weeks or so. In my main station I have 12 Containers sorted by mod type "shields n armour" "guns n launchers" etc etc....

So, at one point about 2 years ago, I went around the universe and collected ALL my stuff and brought it into one station. It took me about a week of painful industrial haulage. Since then, I keep all my stuff organized in 4 locations, no matter what. Even if it means that I have to do a little hauling at the end of the day, stuff needs to go where it needs to go.
