though he was a brilliant tactician and politician....just had the wrong meaning behind it all
but he was a **** painter.
and a pretty **** tactician too, come to think of it. it was his decision to invade russia that broke his back in europe.
He was a very good public speaker i suppose. if you like **** hate-rants.

actually, if you've ever seen his painting, he's quite skilled. and in fact he's also quite the brilliant strategist/tactician if you look at everything, though admittedly he made mistakes. but you can't say he was bad for the few key mistakes he made. but the bias against someone who murdered tens of millions i'm sure is enough to change most peoples opinions, like ourself. he's an evil man but i'd also say he was a genius in many regards.

no, really, he wasn't very good.
if i was being generous i'd describe some of his architectural sketches as above average and his painting uniformly poor, but to be honest i don't think he deserves a great deal of generosity.
I'm not a ****** expert, but i'd also suggest that a fair amount of his tactical brilliance should be credited to his field commanders (not forgetting their military superiority, which always helps.)

well debaating something subjective like that can get quite stupid so i won't. though i'd be inclined to say it's more a matter of bias for most people. but maybe for you it's sincere? i dono. no real way to prove it :P

actually, on many accounts he directly contradicted generals, disagreeing with them, only to come out with fantastic results. he was often smarter then even his generals. this is why he went ahead with operation barbarossa even though his generals strongly advised against it, because they were just wrong so many times in the past and ****** had been right.

Yes a fine painter indeed
He was rejected twice by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (1907 û 1908), citing "unfitness for painting", and was told his abilities lay in the field of architecture.
Following the school rector's recommendation, he too became convinced this was the path to pursue, yet he lacked the proper academic preparation for architecture school:
"In a few days I myself knew that I should some day become an architect. To be sure, it was an incredibly hard road; for the studies I had neglected out of spite at the Realschule were sorely needed. One could not attend the Academy's architectural school without having attended the building school at the Technic, and the latter required a high-school degree. I had none of all this. The fulfillment of my artistic dream seemed physically impossible.''"(Mein Kampf, Chapter II, paragraph 5 & 6).

if you're going to judge a painter by only his academic credentials in art schools... well, alright then.
it's not like i'm saying i like ******... i don't. who does. but some of his work is rather good in my opinion. you really can't argue with that. again, arguing about subjective matters is rather moronic. not to mention this thread isn't about ******'s artistic skill.
