Why isn't pod killing allowed? Full pirate slaves only widen the gap between big alliances and small alliances and base the tourney more on isk invested then skill. Combine that with the rewards and we should just rename it to "The PvP Stock Market".

a) podding allowed
BOB/any other serious alliance: all HG sets, because they can afford to replace them till the end of time if needed.
random crappy RP alliance: lg sets, scared ****less of getting podded.
b) podding not allowed
BOB/any other serious alliance: all HG sets, alliance sponsored.
random crappy RP alliance: lg/hg sets, according to what people can afford. No risk to get podded so bring the best you can get.
How exactly did dis-allowing podding make it worse for the random crappy rp alliance?
Its PVP. Only undock with what you can afford to lose, and take your "crappy rp alliance" smack elsewhere, alt.

You must be horribly mistaken, the alliance tournament has always been far far away from actual tranquility PVP, and I don't see a need for this to change this year either. "Bring only what you can afford to lose" doesn't make sense when the big boys will all be able to lose hg sets while our "crappy random rp alliance" example probably can't, especially not when they get podded many times over.
PS. You really hurt my feelings by calling me an alt :(
This thread is in "EveTV and the PvP Championships" section however, so I kinda figured the Championships would be based on real PvP ;p
Sorry about the alt thing, im used to CAOD/IGS where people need their tickers!
