BluOrange Gallente Agony Unleashed Agony Empire	Posted - 2007.07.17 11:08:00 - [1] I watched with great interest as Mercenary Coalition advertised their intention to sell the outpost in P-2TTL, and was very curious as to who our new neighbours would turn out to be. I would have thought that the winner of the auction would have moved in by now, but things don't seem to have changed, the system is still deserted and sovreignty hadn't changed the last time I was there. Oh, there are people there, though generally just docked up. Honestly, that whole region is usually fairly deserted, with people clustering around hub systems and rarely, if ever, venturing out. Have more contact in a few minutes of chilling at 93PI-4 then hours traveling around up there.

Then the war came, and MC swept through the area with gank fleets that had bigger numbers than an Agony class, and bigger ships too. Those were exciting times, when we had people saying that we should make one of our promotion criteria the ability to get a ship into P-2TTL and out the other side. But the war moved on, and MC have moved on, and P-2TTL is a charred husk, waiting for someone to breathe life into it again. It seems from the minimal MC commentary that the outpost has indeed been sold. I'm disappointed that I won't get to find out what Seleene's 'interesting alternative plan' was, but I'm still looking forward to meeting the new neighbours. Recruitment FAQ

Usually between 10-20 people in local. I got my first taste of 0.0 there, thanks to their NRDS and universal docking policy. The reigon had quite a few pirates roaming around, but that just built experience and helped newer players 'learn the ropes'. Sure, the rats and ores aren't so hot, but 950k Ravens are still a lot better than the 200k Battlecrusiers in 0.1, and probably the biggest rats new players have yet seen. I'd really like to see another NRDS entity take it over. I'm sure that's the last thing that the territorial alliances in the surrounding reigons want though.

Its not that there is anything wrong with it, with a little organization even 950K rats and unremarkable roids can be turned into a some significant isk. There is always money to be made if you can figure out the right angles to work. I have built up my own little rackets(which shall be kept private)and now spend about 90% less time grinding isk than when I first started and make far more too. I'm no multi-billionaire, but its plenty. Anyway, I ramble. My point is that while the area is somewhat over-shadowed by the fireworks going on elsewhere, it has potential and could also benefit from being off most peoples radar.

Most of the potential customers already based out of Fade/Dek stations if they had docking rights, or ROIR/X-70 if they didn't. Most of the time when I passed through, there would be about 4-5 ISS and 1 or 2 other pilots in local. Hell, even Fade was pretty empty except peak hours. Wylker and Alice Cholmondeley are my fanclub. \0/

The whole problem boils down to the fact that if you're strong enough to hold P-2TTL(or even Fade for that matter), you're strong enough to go take a better region. Think iskies could be better spent else where. I have to admit... I did like those battleships full of t2 loot and BPO's that we caught roaming around up there... it's not as deserted as one would be lead to believe. Yet as mentioned before, there is far more fun to be had around EC and the other side of the region as that's where the good fights are.
