I'd have some serious reservations. You haven't explained why you need to sell shares and raise capital. That seems dubious, especially given the fact that you're making in excess of 2 B a month and already give away a large chunk of that to share holders. Your operation should easily generate that kind of capital; especially if you lowered dividend payments for a month or two and reinvested more of the profit. Do you just want to be a nice guy and enrich total strangers? |

its not about the isk, im simply doing this for reason i will list below.
1. role playing in this game is fun.
2. why not get a few people to trust me if i need a loan in the future.
lets face it, just manufacturing and doing a little bit of mining is a bit boring. so i have fun running the corp like its a real one. you should hear me in our teamspeak server sometimes. originally selling the shares was to get a influx of cash into the corp was so i can pump out 120 battle cruisers with ease and still have isk to spare. that has long since past. after doing that for a year. i kinda liked paying dividend to people, it makes me want to generate alot of cash.
expanding the shares is simply to keep that going but do it on a larger scale. i dont care if people buy the shares when they a dirt cheap, then a day or 2 later there price goes up 100% and decided to sell them back to me for a quick profit. its just more to do for me and keeps me busy.
the other side of that coin is getting trust from outside people. say something like what happened to ebank happens to me, i **** off someone who has access to the corp funds and assets and takes it all or we get war deced and i got a big manufacturing job going and they manage to take down the POS in that time frame. i loose quite a bit of my isk. well id have the trust of a few people who would loan me cash to get my operations going again. of course id have to pay interest to them.
so long story short, its now about the isk, its about doing something thats fun to me and security against the unknown. if youd like a full history lesson on this corp id probably have fun typing that up. |

Ohhhh there was a discussion about that a bit back.
Some people thought it was smart to make bonds for "RP" purposes, but mostly to build up some kind of fake trust in the event that they decided to make an "actual" bond for a much bigger amount.

lol yes ive seen that happen a few times, of course nothing i say will prove or disprove anything about this. only actions will tell, there is also no end period to this. share holders are welcome to hold onto there shares for as long as they want.
they are also as stated above to sell there shares back to me at any given moment, but people will always be suspicious and i understand that. ive been burned by a BOND before luckily i only sent a small amount.
i acutally expect to get flamed and branded scammer just for the post without any investors, i now got the opertunity to prove all the red flaggers wrong. it may take ages but im patiant and very content with the share holders i have now. one being a very bright person. |
