I am sorry that I had to necro this thread, but I have a real problem.
I have tailored 4 accounts around invention, an explorer, a miner/refiner, a PVE combat pilot and a research/manufacture/inventor. My dream in this game is obvious from my character selection. I wish to immerse myself completely in the invention process. Many people think that is crazy, but it is my dream.
Unfortunately, I belong to a corporation that has established itself in the drone region. I really enjoy the corporation and the people in it very much. I would prefer not to have to leave them in order to continue this dream of mine.
I was unaware of the issue discussed in this thread until I arrived in the drone region yesterday, all gung ho and ready to rock and roll. I quickly found out about this issue and now I am totally depressed that I may not be able to proceed as planned.
CCP, your responses in this thread have been very vague and according to them you should already have made some improvements in this area. However I have probed more than 40 systems in the last 24 hours without finding a single radar or magnetometric site. I suspect that if I probe 4000, I will still not find one.
Is this going to change soon, or are you going to leave those of us in the drone region who wish to participate in the invention process down completely.
I will eventually do what I must to be able to continue with this dream of mine. But it would sure be nice if you could fix this so that myself and other people that may be in my position, could participate just like the people in all of the other 0.0 space areas. I know that you have stated that there are off-setting advantages to being in the drone region, but I haven't seen them or heard anyone speak of them in any outstanding manner. If there really are alternative advantages, it wouldn't make any difference to me anyway, for the obvious reason.
I hope you will respond to this CCP, but to be honest, even if you do respond, I am not particularly hopeful that you will be any more positive or any less vague than you have been already.
