For the ammount of downtime the game has had recently shouldn't we be getting skillpoints back rather then loseing them? Or I want my money back for the day.

wha? are you saying you have no skill training when the servers go down?
Being a Fleet Commander and a Arbitrator pilot are the same thing - The only difference being that the Fleet Commander commands other people, and the people actually listen to him. |

Skillpoints still accrue while the servers are down, and during the daily scheduled downtime.
If you don't have a skill training for the 20 minutes the servers might go down during the course of the other 23 hours... suck it up.

Always have a skill training.
Point of information: The skill you train on Eve is 1000% more skill training if this happened in another other game.

well skill training was suspose to be done not 5 minutes after the downtime happened. Happens far more often then you would think I must be really unlucky.

Happend to me as well.
Just suck it up. I've gone on a booze binge and forgotten to update my skill for more than half a day. It is not the end of the world. -----

No. Further, you have as much chance of getting a days money back for a server crash as I have of tap dancing my way into the guiness book of records. On what do I base this outlandish statement? The EULA. Read it and weep.
FYI I'm also losing training time now as my skill finished 10 minutes ago. No point complaining about it though.
Brown runny stuff happens. Along with death and taxes it's a constant in the great scheme of things.

Yes. On Tranquility, skills will continue training after your subscription finishes, until the skill is complete.
You'll have to resubscribe if you want to change skills though.

Until the skill finishes, yes, even after the account is expired.

yeah, well, "train long skills during night time", and now, when i turn on the computer to change the skill before going to work, the server doesnt work. it means almost 12 hours of lost training.
f***. it would be so easy. just a one, single, non-upgradable, skill queue. come on, CCP, you know it would be fair.

Even for a new character a few hours skill training lost isnt going to set you back AT ALL in the long run...and eve is all about the long run. ------------

That's wrong on 2 occasions WoW has given money for unintended downtime. Could be more stoped playing after I found eve.

I don't remember them giving money, but when wow was new and there were lots of problems they gave free days that were added to your account. As for this, their should be some kinda of system that makes it so you can queue up the next skill you want to be trained, and if the server is down when your current skill is done then that one starts.

For the love of god people, whats wrong with you ?
It's a flippin game, get over it hell you might even see the sun. And tbh they announced the patch 1 day ahead so some heads up was there.
And here's a free tip when they patch the server expect it might not go as planned and might be down for a longer period of time.
So always set a long skill training around patch time even if it is small patches.

People lik eyou really get up my goat. this downtime was NOT INTENTIONAL! so how can you plan for it?
look at your parents? they had their own downtime roughly 9 months before you was born. I bet they didnt plan on that huh?! -

I train a long skill over night and want to change it just before going to work
This morning I tried ot log on and got the message 'server starting up in....' so I waited, the count down ran out and ther server status was then 'unknown' at this point I left for work - its only a game after all and no reason to be late for work,
What annoys me is that I plan my skills ahead around RL and Eve Downtimes but I have been got a couple of time by 'unschedualed DTs' which I do realise are necessary but do **** up any planning.
all I would like to see is the ability to have a second skill qued up - CCP have said that they don't really want to do it, that people should plan their skills and be prepared to log on to change them, unfortunatly with the amount of server glitches this is becoming a point of view that is no longer valid - we can plan our skills but we can't plan for server **** ups.
I for one am going to call my Brother (when he wakes up) and get him to change the skill for me - I will still lose a couple of hours but it is better than a half a day - unfortunatly not everyone has this option. (Family member so I don't think its against the EULA, but then I am paying for a service that is not being provided so that possibly breaks some sort of agreement - I don't know...)

So some lost one hour of skilltime....so f...ing what ?
There are everywhere people complaining about almost everything.
To be honest you already pay to much for the game. If you take everydays 1 hour downtime and multiply it with a 30 days Gametime you have 30 Hours during whom you cannot play. Thats 1 Day and 6 hours...or 0.50 Ç app.
I suggest to stop whining and use the unawaited downtime to watch some Jenna Jameson flicks on the internet
