For interested bounty hunters we have a -6.6 pirate with bounty on his head and his partner (didn't check his sec and bounty) sitting at stargate in Onne ganking passers by.

Yup, I got ganked there last night.  And they tried it on me at the weekend too, but I was in a faster ship. In all, they must have podded a load of folk at that gate in the last week or so. |

welllllll its that or do belt raid due to the fact that last patch fubarred sec status soooo if your -5 or more u can't even ride thro .4.....so basically they r stuck

SYCO is totally right, we are pretty much stuck in that area unless we clone or pod travel somewhere. Castor made 0.4s just another carebear land, where "bad guys" like us are meant with sentry fire before the screen loads (lost about 5 shuttles testing that out ). Bashing a few frigs at a gate doesnt bring ne excitment, but we have taken in some nice loot from indies. belt raiding has gotten us dozens of Battleship/cruiser kills, and decent loot, but until we can travel in 0.4s again we wont be going to 0.0 space or "comabt zones"; so until then we pretty much just have to run around blasting everything in sight. (But that is a lot funner then mining or agent missions ). I cant wait till we take down yet another large shipment of minerals packed nicely in local cargo expanders.

I understand your predicament. I also have no problem with losing a ship to profit making piracy. I'm just not sure the point of podding people if you are simply after their cargo/equipment. Presumably this only serves to show up a nice travel warning blotch on the map, reducing the amount of passing traffic for you to loot. |

Did it ever occur to you that maybe your sec. status would recover quicker if you stopped popping capsules every chance you got?

Yup - griefing and piracy are 2 different things and I guess the "show pods destroyed in the last hour" should be changed to "show me where the griefers are".
