I'm new to playing on the test server. Seems that if i don't log on to it every few days and update a patch then I end up having to download a full client again.
Is there a way around this? .. basically sends me to patch page where it says no patch available.. I had intended to log on for the stress test but instead ill be downloading a 632mb file, probably along with a bunch of us. maybe you'll get an unintended stress test on that server as well. I would think that smaller incremental patches would be available, perhaps display a list of the patches I missed so I can just get a few smaller files instead of one huge one.

Just delete the sisi folder, then copy the current TQ build over to the test folder, then create a shortcut using that /LUA off thing (cant remember it fully) and simply patch the current sisi build that way

Yeah, but copying 600 meg every damn time you don't keep up with patches (and it got really crazy shortly before Rev II) sucks. I'd love to see a nice little area in the patches section that has each incremental patch since the last major TQ build. Then, when I find I'm two patches behind instead of 1, I go in, apply the first, apply the second and get on with testing.

Oh noes! If 3 minutes of copying files is too much than stay off the test server.

I have to agree.
This has been brought up many many times and is the bane of the test server.
Frequently Copying TQ over sucks and just causes the HD to fragment.
Downloading the origional TQ build doesnt help either because they keep changing TQ and the origional build from REV II doent patch to SISI 
if they want more people to test and even judging by Sharkies (poorly timed) message it would be better have all valid SISI build patchable to the next SISI build.

there is NO patch from Rev II to SISI
you have to either redownload a full build or copy the live TQ folder

Maybe because it makes little sense building a patch that would never be applied on TQ?
Sisi should, afaik, always be patched from the latest TQ version. And you can patch your Rev II install up to that, I hope.
And then patch from there up to Sisi.

Patches may not always flow unidirectionally.
For instance version 1.1 -> 1.1b ... oops, 1.1b doesn't work well, modify stuff.... new version 1.1b2 but patch from 1.1b -> 1.1b2 isnt made, because it was easier/quicker to make a patch from 1.1 -> 1.1b2, so now 1.1b is a dead-end build that has no use except deletion. This is why its always a good idea to patch from TQ to SISI.
