Edited by: VaderDSL on 21/07/2007 16:11:33 Ok this setup is what I use on missions to provide full shield tanking capabilities.
6 * S95A Partial Shield Transporter
4 * Cap Recharger II 1 * Large Capacitor Battery II
1 * Reactor Control Unit II 1 * Power Diagonostic System II
2 * Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hardwiring - Zainou 'Gnome' KXA2000 (-5% cap use for shield emission modules)
All Level 5 Engineering Skills (Capacitor skills + Shield Emission Skill) + Level 4 Logistics
2304 Shield hp's every 5 seconds for a total of 478.8 Capacitor (95.76/s usage)
The capacitor is 2723 capacity and a regeneration time of 61 seconds (2723/61*2.4 = 107~/s regeneration)
Now this setup is skill intensive, and has no tank and no speed, it is designed to go in after everything has aggroed, tested on Enemies Abound 5 the respawns do not target (hostiles were 120km + away from me and friendlies were at near max range of 71km)
Now it is probably better to drop a large shield transporter to fit an AB, but this is simply a max repair ship.

If you change to T2 transfers you get 11% more shield/s transfered.
and 5x T2 light shield bots will give another 288hp/s
With logistics V you can fit an AB too.

Think you mean 28.8 hp/sec. 5 light drones even with bonuses does not give 2.5 times more hp/sec than an x-large shield booster. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

Could you quantify that statement with some math, please? I show 5 T2 L Shield Bots as 36 shield/second.. with maxed out skills.

Yes, you are right. I must have made an error with the decimals there, just like CCP did with the stats on the armor repair bots =)

Tech 2 Large Transporters don't fit, not by a country mile, seeing as they use up 32PG more than the S95A unfortunately, also the logistics skill doesn't affect anything (power grid related) if I can't fit an AB at level 4 I cannot fit one at level 5, the logistics skill only decreases cap use on the shield transporters.
The role bonus reduces CPU need on shield transporters by 50% and reduces power grid on energy transfers.
Energy transfers use 50% less power grid but the same CPU, shield transporters use 50% less CPU but the same powergrid (160 powergrid for the best named compared to 192 power grid for Tech 2 shield transporters)

I tend not to use it too often sadly, on most missions now they have introduced trigger spawns.
But bigger missions, like EA 5, worlds collide, extravaganzas (bonus room) recon 1 etc. I find that I tend not to get targetted if I go in after all the aggro and move away from the tank.
but realistically most lvl 4's can be solo'd now its nice to use it every now and again though.

Sad truth is that trigger missions render Logistic ship to useles. With That setup u cant tank much.
Helped corpmate do level 4 angel extra. and i have never warped from any mission so much.

6x Large Shield Transporter II
1x 10MN AB 4x Cap Recharger II
1x PDU II 1x RCU II
it fits but require good skills.
What I meant was with lvl 5 logistics, was that you can run everything including the AB forever if you have it (with CCC rigs offcourse).

Take one of the transfers off and fit a cloak, wait for the rats to agro your mate when the do warp in/use the acceleration gate then fly 70km from you pal, as the last rat dies cloak, wait for the rats to aggro your mate, uncloak and so on so forth you really dont need 6 transfers anyway unless your mate has no tank at all.. which is suicide

My current setup is this, not perfect or anything but it works nicely for the things I use it for.
High: 5x Medium Shield Transporter II, 1x Medium Energy Transfer Array II Mid: 1x Large Peroxide I Capacitor Power Cell, 2x Cap Recharger II, 1x Large Shield Extender II, 1x Large Shield Booster II. Low: 1x Power Diagnostic II, 1x Beta Reactor Control I Rigs: 2x CCC I.
Even if you get aggro from a new spawn you won't need to warp out. You can keep 3 shield transfers and the large booster running 24/7 (or all 5 shield transfers + energy transfer) and you have a nice buffer to allow you to kill off the stuff that is attacking the logistics should its tank not be enough. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

Cheers for all the advice, I might see about dropping the 6th shield transporter for a cloak, sounds like a very good idea
