As far as I know things in Venal have been pretty quiet. So why in the hell is it such a big deal to some people?
PS I will be coming through there to pick up some stuff so how about giving me a pass or something.

Maud, you need no pass to enter Venal. Old friends are always welcome.
As for the original issue, Hirakii speaks for The PA and what he said is our official stance. Period. Closing the region is in in the best interests of all PA corporations. Ideology has nothing to do with it. It's a purely practical decision based on the game mechanics at this time.
Oh, and I alone rule Venal with an iron fist.  |

Who gives a flying f**k about Venal and the PA anyway? They got what they want, the ability to mine, hold hands and dance around camp fires together with no ebil pirates making them run to their stations and safe points...

venal was closed because of my insane lust for power, for soon i shal decree that all PA members will wear big pink hats and yellow waders and sing "i would walk 500 miles" by the proclaimers when fighting.
and when mining they must form into gangs of 7, nickname each other sleepy, grumpy etc and sing "hi ho" until their brains melt.

Right, so the plan is to drive them mad with that song forcing them to self destruct their ships while they breath a sigh of relif when you pod them so they can get as far away from you and that song as possible. Good plan, would almost be perfect if it wasnt for the fact YOU would have to hear that song aswell, some form of ear plugs in order then.

the "power" of this song was witnessed a week or so before as it was what the ccp devs and gm's were listening to by accident, and in the panic they broke the system where the biggest fleet battle was about to occur.
also i have noticed from my time in newcastle that geordies must be immune from this song as every nightclub i go in they play it, either that or 15 pints of lager does the trick of making ugly women and bad music look and sound good.
