Imagine that kind of a scenario with a Eve touch... moody, dark, future-like with lots of rain and neon. Blade runner like kind of a thing almost. That would be quite amazing.
Now you have something to aim for. :)

I don't think this will beat our Ambulation, the trailer looks better even now, and that wasn't anywhere near the finished version.

apples and oranges really. the sheer scope that Home aims to bring to the PS3 community is astounding. as for ambulation, i seriously cant wait for it (got a few ships in my hangar i'd like to see up close and personal) and it has its fair share of features but Home just seems to have much more (movie theater, live game spectating a la xboxlive pgr3, arcades, personalized living quaters and stuff.)
yea, really apple and oranges here tho..
on the subject of the e3 trailer, i could've sworn the first trailer Sony showed looked 100x better than this one. aint it weird?
edit - i must say tho, Home seems more like a console version of 2ndlife whereas Ambulation does have its uses (we hope... please please dont mess up the fleet planning rooms )

The EVE ambulation trailer already looks better than the graphics in that "Home" or whatever it is, and the ambulation trailer was just the start.
Considering that ambulation is not a major feature in EVE, and this "Home" looks centred on it (after all, the Home trailer only focuses on the setting), and that the character models in ambulation are already amazing for such an early version, I think will certainly beat that. 100% certain. No error bars.

I'd rather see an improved drone UI (please put them side by side like gang bars!), the camera stop resetting after every jump, and a clear UI notification for warp scrambles.
Priorities, I guess. They are different for everyone.

better home trailer IMO
i actually prefer this trailer which was the 1st one shown earlier this year @ GDC i believe
for those who havent seen ambulation
now that i look at the EVE video again i must say it looks a lot more detailed than Home.
edit - i keep forgetting. biggest thing to come from ambulation imo is the redesigned stations. those things currently are an eye-sore... (Matari station) so i cant wait for bigger more detailed "realistic" stations as seen in the last shot of ambu.

they are replacing the whole client and graphics engine and UI.
as you should know EvE has never held the same UI for more than 2 years. If the new UI doesn't have some sort of new drone UI I would be very surprised.
And if it still doesn't I hope to hell it does by the time I apply to work at CCP or I'll try to figure out what's going on.

Hmmm.. Prioritys eh? You do realise that the people working on bug fixes/optimizations are not the same people working on walking in stations yes? Or would you like the baker to quit baking so he can go help with the mechanic changing your trasmission.. Oh wait.. The baker has no skills in auto mechanics but hey he *might* be able to help..

Yeah the ambulation video looks really, really good. I dont think its seen it before, only seen screenshots... that ambulation video was very impressive.
Now I want a real trailer from it...
Edit: And yes, your Home vid was better. I only just noticed that Home existed, im not into consoles much but stumbled on it when surfing the web. :)

well a drone UI is a bit of an artist job
but as far as we know there areallready 16 designs ready and it's no longer the artist job to work on the drone UI.

i hope this stuupid walking in station will never happen. 
this is f*cking PvP game... go play second-life if you want to walk in station. means only more load to server and with current stressed out state its already close to impossible to get a normal fight.
CCP has so many things to solve in this game and all they do is add more potential problems. sad reality is that after the invasion of wow teens in mid of puberty now we will be swarmed with second life nerds that will come when walk in station kicks in...
