I have just submitted a bug report as I updated eve with the patch and then logged on. I then go to buy skill books and the first 2 are fine and then I go to get another skill book off the market and eve completley crashes. I didnt even get a connection lost message or anything, just totally dissapeared. I have tried to log in again "sucessfully" but everrytime I go to buy stuff it crashes.
Anyone else with this isssue, or similar pro-patch

Im not even going to bother anymore today, Im too tired to ass about with this. All I can do is download the full client and try a full install and see if that works.
Also I am using Vista so I dont know if it is the reason for the crashing or not as Vista isnt exactly friendly to programs from what Im told.

Yup random crashes here to! It can be ok for 10 mins then it just crashes, which is a real pain in the arse when your trying to complete a lv4 mission!! This is the 4th time its happened, im gonna complete this mission then just not bother with eve for the rest of the day!

Yep after patch while doing markettransactions eve sometimes completly crashes to desktop..no client nothing.

Me too.
I've also had several Jumping... stickiness sessions, that need a client re-start and lose all my settings.

This bug has been on the test server for ages, I sent a bug report with log server files and the crash dump and now this crap is on TQ. Also my chat windows get put back to the default ones.

Same here, random crashes to desktop; no error message. Lost 4 sets of T2 drones so far in lvl 4 missions. Thx CCP. 
Let us know when this new "feature" has been removed and I might consider playing some more.
Last crash also reset all my settings, overview, windows, gfx settings.

Installed patch... Get a warning from my computer saying invalide or corupt EXE.exe Run chkdsk, so run chkdsk find a file in eve... \ccp\eve\cache\pictures\gids\3289_256.dds, Entry not valid and contains no valid link.... WTF works fine on my laptop ... anyone know a way of replacing.. or repairing this file?

Interesting. Try deleting your entire cache folder and see if that helps. You can safely delete the folder and the pictures etc will be downloaded again next time you log into the game.
See if that helps.

It isn't crashing.It just eats up all the memory and is like GTASA on old Pentium II...Dam thing thinks forever.I wanted to restart the game and it took almost 15 minutes to dock and after that about 5 minutes to quit the game.
The f***ing thing is making me very ****ed off and I'd rather sacrifice an hour to Devs to fix this damn problem!
Darn junk just eats up all the memory and my PC saw first time what happens if it runs out of virtual memory! This has never happened before and I have to mention that I play games simultainiously.I have Heroes V running background when making long flights to gates and it has always worked and now EVE can't even run on it's own!

my client kept dying and i'm running Vista but i've managed to get it to hold by running to following steps:
Running EVE in compatability with XP Service Pack 2,
Disabling Windows firewall,
Assigning a whole core of my processor to deal with CCPExefile process (some may not be able to do this as you need specialised cpu distibution software

Well,since I'm running double programs,then I have the software to manage my resources and I did the same thing but eventually it still almost froze.
PS! I didn't turn firewall off though...

dual core Opteron, AMD, win 2k.
Crashing started during a faction mission (think it was when I got warp scrambled). Crashed repeatedly (8+ times) until my ship was destroyed. Oddly, then game stabilized.
Then, when buying the replacement ship to get back in hopefully retrieve exotic missile launchers, game crashed during purchase.

..what a ****ty patch... my client crashed 2x now . As soon as I fired my weapons it crashed

Also having problems with CTD during missions. Was completing 2nd stage of lvl 4 Rogue Drone Harassment when CTD'd 3 times in quick succession following launch of drones. Needless to say, the drones were destroyed, but once they were game seemed to stabilise and I was able to complete mission.

Buying stuff from the market causes CTDs for me too. I also had a CTD when someone issued a private contract for me.

Same here, happens when I try to activate highslots, scoop drones, whatever. No error message, no client restart, just *poof*.
And here's an image of what happened to my char select screen once after a crash. Don't get me wrong, floating eyeballs and random geometric figures are cool and all, but...

Well its 20:09 here in the uk and I thought I would test eve out, fingers crossed and all. Bought a Kestrel of market and It didnt crash, whoo. And then it did about 5 seconds later, I really shouldnt have let eve trick me into thinking it was actually working. For suck a bad ass problem do we know if CCP has actually spoke about this issue.
I normally support ccp through bad times, and thats alot of the time of late. But I am feeling myself getting angry, and you dont want to see me angry, no, wait, thats the incredible hulk, sorry

Adjusting prices, buying items, viewing prices.. randomly results in dropping to desktop, no crash message, clean, fast drop. Very odd.

I have not had a CTD in months and today since the patch I have already had 2. I got the log server running to hopefully catch the next CTD for an appropriate bug report....
Nevertheless kudos to CCP on the python upgrade, I was expecting a litany of far more severe issues.
