After installing the latest patch. I will get a blue.dll error and can't get out of the error screen. each time I will close it, it will pop back up. the only way to get rid of it will be re-boot my computer. The only way I can get the program to run is start it with the patch itself. I don't know if anyone else it getting this error, but it has happened to me twice after installing this patch, just a good thing I had a back-up copy of the previous version on my computer, or I would have to download and re-install the hole game. Please tell me if there is a way for me to fix this, so i don't have to keep running the game from the patch.
The following is the error messing i am getting.
"The procedure entry point PyNumber_float could not be located in the dynamic link library blue.dll."

I get the same thing, an error stating, "This application has failed to start because blue.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may ..." Previous references suggest the problem is with unsupported versions of Windows but as I am running XPSP2 there should be no problem. Unlike you however I did not make a backup and don't really want to download the whole bloody game from scratch. Maybe CCP could find it's way to putting the Blue.dll on its site with instructions for directory placement?

Looks like you will also need vivoxsdk.dll and ortp.dll as well for the latest patch.

Same problem here. I've never had a problem with any of the previous patches, but now I've had to reinstall twice. This is getting old. Please tell me there's a way to fix this.

Gentlemen,
I receive the same error message while playing the game. I recently captured the actual error message as it lists itself in the Windows Event Viewer. As you can see the BOLD area is the faulting blue.dll driver that everyone else has listed. This error message caused me a Nighthawk in the middle of a PVP fight. And I received the perverbial "Our Records Don't Indicate Anything" blah blah blah response from my petition. In the last month, this same error has occured 15 times!

I have a related fault with blue.dll but I dont get the error screen lock up. This was directly after the latest patch and before and after the sp1 vista patch.(Before anyone says it was the new sp that caused it). The system here is as stable as a rock with any other games of the same ilk its ONLY eve that has a problem. I'm going to post the details here in the vain hope that sombody in CCP actually reads this forum and is of the mind to do somthing about it, because I get the impression that they don't really care much about their casual players to be honest.
The system is :
quad core 6600 @ 2400 mHz (unclocked aircooled) 4 gB ddr2 @ 1066 mHz 4 gB flash Smartdrive 2 x XfX Gforce 8800 ultra GTX in non Sli mode. (3 22 " widescreen + Vusix VR glasses) Creative labs Xfi Fatality 250gB drive sata
All latest drivers
Before people comment on the stability of Vista x64 consider that the game would run for 17 hours prior to the latest game patch. Infact it would have probably run for longer but I fell asleep at the keyboard and hit the power down button. The following reports as just a sample of the many crashes (5 in the last hour) that have occured and are now threatening my interest in the game.
