no your not the only one its happened to alot of us since the new patch, that and many other problems, Would be nice if someone from CCP could get their butts in here for a second or 2 and post info on this ****, i had to jump around so many different boards (finaly found 1 ccp person post patch form) with the balls to axctualy say anything to us the clients about this mess. Im not mad about being able to connect things like this are to be expected with a patch, especialy one where base code is worked on. But have the common curtesy to post some f*****g info to us about it in the issues form where most people go when things like this happens. Even just a simple yes we are having problems and are working to correct them. Its really bad form to make us hunt to hell and back to find anything from admin about a problem.

me too
Strange thing is I can access the website fine (obviously), and ping to TQ IP shows no losses
I don't think it's actually connected to the new patch, as it started happening at the weekend
I wonder if my ISP (eclipse) is doing something?

Hmm, I'm with Eclipse in the UK too and getting this same issue; reinstalled and stuff and still the same.
Anyone from CCP know if this is an ISP issue? It does begin to look like it...

I use an Aussie ISP so I doubt its isp issues, tho my knowledge of these things are pretty limited.
Ive tried to cleaning cache, reinstalling using old client install (RMR client) and than patching and also have now redownloaded the client's full package and still get the same "unknown" status. I dont know what else to try tbh- looks like its not my end or perhaps its a buggy client/patch d/l?
Running Windows XP sp2 on an AMD athlon cpu. I dont think the rest of the rig really effects eve that much does it?
Connection is via an internal network off a cable if that info helps at all...
Seriously, any information or links to a sticky where this is being discussed would be great ccp- Kinda leaving us hanging in the dark atm. hmm, I have version 35106 and I just noticed new patch notes that show a different version.
3.21.35183
But when I go to the patch list to try and update to this version there is no such number. Geez 2 days and cant log in. *sigh*

I just started EVE and it told me (after a wee while) there was a patch. Installed it, rebooted the system, launched it and version 3.21.35183 hangs at Checking Status for minutes and then Server Status: UNKNOWN.
I think I'm gonna collect and collate all the info they want and create a bug report, because this doesn't seem to get any attention from CCP this way.
Maybe the devs are more responsive.

Well spotted im showing the same version- 35106
could this be a singlarity patch that for some reason has borked onto tranq?
Also I state again that I even downloaded the new client/full package or whatever you call it fresh, after deleting all files related to eve on my pc. Still got same result- status: Unknown Peace WithinSo if the theory of relativity is true, shouldn't i arrive at my destination before i warped in the first place? Funnily enough I'm also with Eclipse and I get exactly the same problem with Eve, but I don't think its an ISP issue.
I've petitioned so hoping I might get an answer sometime this century

yeah, also with eclipse and getting the same issue.
eclipse's ADSL netblock is 81.168.72/22, altho I dont think its a routing related thing as I'm getting sessions established out to the eve servers when i try and connect, just something going on at the app layer i think.

umm, the client seems to try and make connections to 2 system when it comes up, one comes up and connects fine, the other fails with a pile of tcp checksum errors etc.
Bad network stuff going on :-(

Reply from CCP Devs to my bug report
Quote: We have been unable to reproduce your issue and the logs show the servers are talking just not able to authenticate themselves. Unfortunately this will be a problem with your provider.
.
So, off to the pillar... or was that the post?

I too fail to see how it can be an ISP issue if my machine can talk to the CCP server, but then I'm not a network person. I also know I have very little information to give to the poor techy at my ISP; just hoping against hope they made some changes in the past 2 or 3 days that could've caused this.

Considering there are some of us that are not uk isp's with this issue surely it isnt that.
Please ccp, I would really, really like to come back here and find at least some kind of response...
