I'm looking to get into teh low sec pirating, like jumping on barges and frigs etc. Traditional ransoming but having serious trouble finding a low sec system with anyone in the belts! Anyone know of any or can anyone point me in the right direction? (Heimatar preferably)
cheers

If you are new to the game, I suggest you head towards the Eifer/Gusandall area. Lots of people doing their first low sec trip there, so you'll see lots of ratting cruisers and some miners now and then.

Derovius Vaden you windbag. I swear if I could tank a level three mission long enough to get a locator agent, I'd come pod you. I imagine you don't leave highsec though so it'll have to be a suicide unfortunately. --

If you find anyone in low sec in a belt, it's either A) a trap, or B) they're so noob as to be not worth the effort, as their loot is probably complete garbage.

Yes but when that noob is flying a faction ship with faction mods he got from eBay, those are still worth ISK.

Join a pirate orp buddy cos all the good areas are all taken by xp pirates so they will pop you for poaching on their turf.
Oh and i know a few nice and profitable areas but only a real nutter would post them on here or anywhere else and invite competition.

The trouble is that the system with the most targets in are normally housing pirate corps so u have more chance of targets but a lot more chance of dying. Just bear that in mind.

QFT. I'm relatively new and I've spent most of my solo belt piracy time around Gulmorogod/Bosboger/Lulm. There's not just an established pirate corp there, but an entire pirate alliance. I spend 10% of my time hunting down targets in my Rifter and trying to take them out before anyone else shows up and about 90% of my time avoiding the other more experienced pirates in BSs and BCs.

Check out Orfrold ... I went thru there last night and saw 50-100 haulers go through. Quick way to get alot of kills to pad your killboard, at any rate. Even pod kills, because they didn't seem to warp away.
I saw a 'phoon ganking haulers on the gate and the pods just sat there begging to be popped.

Hysera---->Tannolen is very good in periods, but I think its temporarily broke again after numerous rampages, and in the evenings there tend to be a 4-corp gank-squad of anti pies hiding behind gates so if you come over here, use fast cruisers or frigates with mwd, repeatedly running from big gatecamps/interceptors ftw

The haulers in orfrold are all one month and 10 days old flying iterons 23/7... they are however controlled by some guy(s) probably in a country where it pays to pay ppl to farm isk and sell it on ebay, theres a total of 15-18 of thoose characters in that system doing the cargo missions, attemps at killing everything that undocks for an hour makes them cry and logoff for an hour or two too hope I can kill them dead soon enough so they move elsewhere or cancel their iskfarm operation, even if it means ccp losing 15 paying 'valid' customers
I dont even bother to post thoose kms. They aint even decent farmhaulers ones using named or t2 expanders for the missioning sofar I'am down X amounts of ammo and cap charges for the satisfaction =( Hmm... maybe time to start selling ittys and expanded cargohold I's expensively at a station close to there... /* Whats a guy got to do to get a smile off around here */ |

My alt can use locator agents renn. :)
And try opening the map and find a low sec system with a few people in it and a decent amount of NPCs destroyed in the last hour.

"Where are you guys going in your battleships?" "We are going to camp in Amamake; kill 500 carebears and 1 NPC" "Why are you gonna kill an NPC?" "See, nobody cares about the carebears!"
