This is my understanding of our relationship with BoB. It is somewhat inherently inaccurate, as I didn't make the actual deal, and it was never posted in its entirety to my understanding. That said, basically FIX gets control of FIX space, but in BoB's name. We own 4 stations in Q, and BoB owns 1. Other than that, they have next to 0 poses in Q, while we basically have some in every system. So the Sov thing is not an issue.
As for letting corps in, if we really wanted another corp in FIX, it would get in. In the beginning, it was strongly suggested to limit ourselves to bigger and fewer corps. That has worked very well for us, but so you know, we have added corps since that strong suggestion. But FIX generally agree that bigger/fewer corps are much better, because it gives more structure to the overall alliance. You get to keep most of the crappy issues inside your corp without having to bother the alliance about it.
In the end, we really don't care that you don't like our relationships with BoB, because:
1) You assume everyone wants to be like you....... No really, Goons do think that. 2) You have never been able to beat BoB+allies, and that really ****es you off. Understandably. 3) You don't get that there is more to the game than winning. I genuinely like BoB, after flying with them just a few times. They are the best, and we accept that. I mean really, if we were better than BoB, there would be some reason to not like the current relationship. But as it stands now, it gives us a plethora of ways to grow that we would not be able to take advantage of any other way.
So we're happy with our arrangement. It is widely known that when we are strong enough to hold our space, it will be ours. The thing is, we have become the punching bag of the South, and while that makes my day, it has disadvantages. Such as a high burnout/dropout rate within FIX. I understand, it's not for everybody. But it seems like just when we start to really get good, we have a wave of guys leaving. Like I said, that's fine. There are enough loyal guys that it never gets desperate, and it's nice to always have new faces in gang.
So I hope this gives you a little better picture of the relationship between BoB and FIX. I do try to stay out of these threads, but it seemed a little one-sided. Hopefully the average CAOD reader will see that most of the time, when you have to resort to name calling and labeling your opponents such things as "pets," it's because you don't have anything else worth listening to. Oh btw, this applies to everyone here. There are some FIX and BoB that would do well to stop posting here. But hey, it is all in fun right??? hmmmm........ silly people.
See you guys in space, and fly safe.
