The Sparta pets that you refer to are actually TRI friends (IIRC). To answer your question, Deklein is probably a pvpers wet dream right now. No POS warfare ATM, and just good old fashioned pew pew. The scale has yet to tip to one side.
My personal opinion anyways

Only time will tell if we shall fall.
And to clear something up... Sparta has no pets. We have residents who, provided they are willing to help defend, are welcomed into our space. We charge no fees for access... and the only tax to which they are subjected is the tax in the refinery... which is the same for them as for Sparta pilots.
And Praesidium Libertatis is no resident... they show up as red and are therefore KOS.
Please, post with your main.

i heard alot of sparta pilots quit? loss of a mothership has got to be demoralizing, the question remains does tri wish to conquer and thus have to fuel more pos's for outposts? If they wanted more area there is little doubt they could take it but it is going to be a logistical nightmare. In my opinion tri will just continue to farm the opposing alliances for pew pew and forget to POS spam that said storm armada and sparta are going to have a hard time existing with constant warefare and little chance to recoup losses.
How long before Sparta turncoats again?
Btw anyone know what youwhat's stance is i've heard they set tri to red?

Edited by: Deschenus Maximus on 27/07/2007 16:43:57 I'm not very current on northern affairs, but going about this logically: 1)Does Tri want more space? 2)Does Tri NEED more space? 3)Does Tri view its neighbours as a threat?
If the answer is yes to any of the above, then Tri, I would assume, would continue pushing North. If not, then I would surmise that they will be content with pew pewing with their neighbours, as a)fueling POSes is teh suck b)having a large territory makes it harder to control and defend and c)knocking out your neighbours means that you have to go further to find pew pew, which sucks.
Anyways, just the 2 cents of a southerner. Have fun up there!

I think you missed the most and maybe only important question: Does Tri want more pew pew?
To me it doesn't look like they feel or fear being threatened or running out of space. They do it for the lulz in the first place. But that's just my humble opinion.

I didn't forget it; I naturally assumed that the answer was yes. Now, what I meant is: are they going to try taking more space? I don't think anyone's going to go on claiming that Tri doesn't moar pew pew.

K... for the last time... we never "turncoated", as so many like to say.
Fact #1: We were forward deployed in Fountain, shooting residents and pets.
Fact #2: YouWhat changed sides, and things started to go badly in Fade.
Fact #3: Sparta came to CZD at D2's request, and later D2 gave Sparta both CZD and UEJ
Fact #4: Sparta assisted D2 against MC and friends in Fade, losing billions in ships and capital ships in the process.
Fact #5: When Fade fell, Sparta was helping FLA, a supposed friend of D2, defend their portion of Dek (where ESA lives now). D2 did not come and help FLA.
Fact #6: When FLA fell, we realized 2 things. First... Sparta was next. Second... we knew that D2 wouldn't come support us in defense of our space... because they had not come to FLA's aid either.
Fact #7: We decided we would not fight for D2 when D2 wouldn't even fight for themselves, or for their Friends. We would not be D2's meatshield.
Fact #8: Sparta announced that we were withdrawing from active combat. This means that we would be keeping all our standings... even letting people dock at our stations if they wanted to fly and strike at MC. However... people didn't read the announcement carefully enough, and they assumed Sparta had changed sides. Having the Eve-influence map (compiled by a pilot in a BOB resident corp, by the way) show us as part of the Blue-Bob-Blob didn't help, either
Fact #9: Alliances from the northern block reset Sparta to neutral or hostile, without telling us... we still had them blue.
Fact #10: After friendly fire problems, we announced there would be a standings reset, and asked that anyone who wanted blue standings contact us. MM and RZR and the remainder of the north didn't contact us... and they continued to run gank squads through our space. So, we assumed them hostile.
Let me assure you all that, through none of this, has Sparta set BOB anything but red, helped BOB in any way, or supported BOB's goals. Regardless of who we set red and who we NAP... BOB will never be anything but red to this alliance.
Hope this clears things up for you all.
And a personal side note, it never ceases to surprise me how people seem to focus on Sparta and our supposed side-switching... but never seem to remember that had YouWhat not switched sides... D2 might still be in the north and Fountain, plus other regions, could be BOB and bob pet free.
If you are looking for people to hate in the north, I can't stop you from looking Sparta's way. Just take the blinders off and remember how we all ended up in this situation in the first place.
Oh... and again... please post with your mains.
Cheers,

I think you're mixing that up. The influence map isn't compiled by a pilot of a BOB resident corp afaik. I think you meant the other map created by Joshua.
I was a resident of the old north. I don't know if you care but i think what some people are somewhat angry about is that you made a deal with the MC so that you didn't lose your space. I dont call you turncoats because of that. But you have to admit it's not like they shot you without any reason.

MC's contract was to take out D2..... not purge the north. They only were attacking Sparta because we were preventing them from attacking D2. Once we stopped being D2's meatshield, there was no reason for MC to shoot at us anymore. They had taken FLA's space... and they took that because they needed a place to jump their capitals from. With FLA gone and MC holding a system from which they could jump into Branch, there was no logistical need for them to come further north.
Incidently... D2 only wanted ppl in Dek to buy them enough time to get one last mothership out of the cooker. FLA surrendered, IRON rolled over (one tower in a station system?!?!?!?!) and we backed out... D2 lost their buffer... and ended up not getting their final ship finished.
And what was D2 doing while FLA burned, you ask??? Well... I remember seeing freighters and carriers undocking like mad from CZD and UEJ stations... and I'd heard there were several Jump Bridge ops for D2 to get their assets out.
So... remind me again why you expected us to die and get shunted back to empire for D2???
(NB... I will ammend my previous post to reflect that is was Joshua's map.... ty for the correction) -----------------------------------------------

If we want to go and take ESA space or Sparta's space, we will you wouldn't be able to stop us, plain and simple. If we wanted to go camp you in 24/7 we would if we want you to live there so we can make your eve lives miserable and for you to die from within, we will You just don't have the class of leadership or pvpers to stop us on any action we decide to take.

Well, first off, I think the north is an awesome place to be atm. Lots of fights and lots of mutual respect. Whatever happens, I think were all just trying to have fun atm. Who knows we may all become friends and take on some other people. Lord knows we all have the same enemies.
Just my opinion, no disrespect meant for anyone.

There's a select few that know the exact answers as to who Tri is going to destroy in the coming weeks, and that's Tri's leadership. Darknesss likes to pew pew as much as much as all of his pilots and no pew pew makes us all sad pandas.
I'll state a few facts as I see them real quick:
1. Tri PVP's all day, every day. 2. We LOVE having targets that will fight us. 3. We don't care much for space, and take it just to bring targets to us. 4. If we don't have targets, we will go find them. 5. Sparta's whining has escalated our blood lust for them from just standard pew pew to the point where a lot of our pilots would like to see them destroyed. 6. We could easily destroy Sparta within a couple weeks at most. 7. Most of the above applies to Storm Armada now as well in my opinion. 8. Tri likes shaking things up.
This is my opinion, and not that of Tri leadership.
I personally would like to destroy Sparta and kick their corpse back to empire real quick. Wouldn't mind taking our forces to visit their "friends" after Sparta is destroyed as well. My weather forecast for the near future: Severe thunderstorms with 99% chance of destruction for Sparta and Storm Armada.
Once their name is removed from the Territorial map, all bets are off as to our next move. It would be nice to remove all the "junk" from the North so that the big boys could slug it out without being bothered by pesky mosquitoes that drop T1 loot. Again, all this is speculation from a low ranking Tri pilot who is having more fun than I thought possible in Eve as of late.
