if you're experiencing problems with the audio on episode 5, ie no audio on the bob barbecue except music, trying plugging in external speakers or headphones. I had a problem previously (on my laptop) but no problems on my main pc, so assumed it was a local codec issue, but plugging in external speakers on my laptop solved the problem. The in-studio audio was fine, but on-location was super-quiet. Hope this helps some...

That's the problem I had, everything out of studio borked, and adjusting balance doesn't solve it. I've not had any problems before with Eve TV. The microphone sound is there, but very quiet and crakling like a loose wire or plugged in to the wrong socket.
Creative Vista sound driver (yes, yes, it's buggy I know), SB Audigy, Firefox. My connection is 1MB.
I switched up from 250k to 500k quality and that cured it. Got to be something weird with the 250K mixing.

yeah, the balance thing wont work on the 250k stream as thats mono already. it will only help those experiencing problems on the stereo streams (500k/1000k).

If you read Spirals post before it went up, http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=565079 - he does mention problems with sound (so pre-live QA flagged something), and a lot of people have watched it without issues, so this is likely to be only present under certain circumstances.
