I just need some input of what parts of my computer system i need to upgrade to be able to run 2 eve accounts at the same time on 2 screens. Im currently able to run 1 account at normal speeds, but when i try to run 2 eve games i get very bad FPS and and frames skip sometimes and everything is very slow.
Heres is what im running now:
Win Xp Professional. AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 Ghz 3g of RAM nVidia Geforce 6800 256 Gpu.
I got Commcast isp so lag is not a problem and i run 2 screens, dual view. What would you guys suggest i upgrade to have better results for runing 2 eve games at once?

Edited by: Willow Whisp on 28/07/2007 23:33:25 you need to make sure that your eve clients don't interlap from one screen to the other. If even 1 pixel from one client is on the opposite screen, you will suffer from massive DPS drops.
omg, IBDS! \o/ ...

Not exactly the best spec but it works perfectly fine for me and im running 3 chars on 1 pc and 1 screen, tabbing in and out with my windows button.......you may just need a better graphics card.....you seem to have more than enough ram.

I can run 3 accounts on one pc no problem (not tried pvp with 3 tho) with lower specs than what u have there.
I have AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 Ghz, 1 gig ram, X700 gfx card. I do run in windowed mode and single monitor. I don't knwo if that will make a difference

Is there any way i can have both eve games up in fullscreen mode on? One game on my first screen and second game on my second screen so that i dont have to Alt Tab to switch games?

Sorry, but that's rubbish. I almost always have two accounts running on a 1600x1200 screen, my client is 1024x768, so obviously they heavily overlap. No loss of performance what so ever, especially after the most recent patch.
My computer is by no means high end, either. I'm running an Athlon 64 2200+ (2ghz) /w 1.5ghz of very slow ddr1 ram

What they are talking about is not the clients overlapping each other but the spanning of a client from one screen to another. ie, if the border of one window is slightly over the border between screens you will get a drastic drop in frame rate.
To fix the performance problem you need to configure the clients seperately (if you have dual view set up rather than just a desktop span) so one uses one screen and the other uses the other screen (in Eve's graphics > display adaptor dropdown in the config menu). Unfortunately to do that you need to have a second install of Eve and fix the configuration so they use seperate config folders (do a search, it's easy enough to find). Basically just add "/end /LUA:OFF" (note: it is case sensitive)to the end of the "c:\youreveinstalldirectory\eve.exe" in the Eve shortcut for the second client (dunno how it works in Vista however)
Once that is done you should then go and configure custom resolutions so you can maximise the window size without it over-lapping into the other monitor. With an NVidia card just go to the NVidia control panel, go to "display" and then "manage custom timings". I use a resolution of 1270x990 for my Eve clients on two 1280x1024 monitors, with the window borders this means my clients fill each monitor without overlapping.
Hope this helps.

No
Don't run them in full mode it takes more resources even if they are in the background.
