_____ Please read this thread for my idea. ___ I understand POS will, even if still broken, eventually be made attackable even in high sec. I would like a type of station to have if not all the stuff, to at least be able to have a market, clone bay and office rental option, but having manufacturing there would be ideal. This way players can do things like trade embargoes. Make these stations unable to set higher than 3% tax or something reasonable. There is no imbalance there and CCP you know that most people will never care to leave empire.
_____ What this will do:
-Allow players that NEVER want to leave empire, and would rather quit the game than go to 0.0 to do some serious things.
-Face it, there is more than 20% of EVE players that will never care to go to 0.0 even if the rewards are 100x and the risks are 5x, besides such a high reward would make alliance space vastly unbalanced.
-This will allow those who want to be "land lords" to be able to do this. It will allow benefits to players who want to get along with people since being nice to the owners will keep you from losing POS access and being really nice can get you less taxes for trade and the other activities.
-Prevent the ability of an invulnerable POS in high security space because it is just a trade/services facility.
Possible problems or extra coding than just making a special type of station: -Making it not able to fit various services to keep it from giving benefits to someone from no risk.
-Since it is invulnerable possibly make a way that the items all get "transported" by interbus if the player tries to unanchor the station full of everyone elses items.
-Not allow tax to be set more than it is or set a special warning to all and not just evemail when it is changed, and not make it pass into effect until 24 hours
-This makes a lot of "unfree" situations and gives a lot of reward for no risk so make it take extra standings to anchor it since work=risk.

-Trade skills from a distance would not work with this facility unless you had specific permission from the owner.
-Make it possible to be able to move at 5m/s with the exception of going near other stations/moons/asteroid fields/complexes.

A POS is a Player Owned Station. No I do not mean an outpost. Why would I suggest something that exists in the game?

Interesting idea.
If someone chooses to stay in empire, unless they are in n allliance with wars they wont want to pvp, so have you factored in the possiblility that some of that 20% may be alts (mainly mining or industrial)
Is the idea of this to make industry more accessible to everyone in empire or just to benifit people who put all of their time into industry?
Explain a bit more maybe?
Still an interesting idea.
Are you and indy char yourself?
Ideally it is a flying market with essential facilities.
