But seriously, i wish they brought the movie 1 or 2 years earlier. The reason why i wished this is, the german voiceactor of marge died and got replaced by Anke Engelke (a german comedian) she is the reason why me and my friends dont watch the new episodes because she plain sucks. :(
Are you sure it isn't Angela Merkel who does the German Marge voiceover?
Just kidding. I saw the movie last night. Pretty good actually, though not as funny as it could have been. I would have liked to have seen bigger roles for some of the other characters but that's just me being picky I guess. I'm too used to watching hilarious Simpsons episodes on TV.
But yeah, great movie.

I found it dull I'm sorry to say, used to love the earlier seasons, back then it was funny, the movie wasn't, save for isolated snippets, like Spiderpig.

things wrong with the simpsons movie...
* It wasn't in 3D
* There were no giant robots
* where were the sex scenes?
* i wasn't given free money
* it didn't cure my cold
* no world peace.
* scientifically speaking there is no such organism as a 'spiderpig' and it's clear to me that this was just a pitiful device used by matt groening to elicit 'laughs' from the audiance. i don't want to laugh or be entertained. I demand that every movie i watch changes my life radically. Like.. umm.. Police Academy.
No, wait. it's just an entertaining feature-length cartoon and i'd set my expectations far too high. my bad.
I read this forum, and all i can think of is a thousand Comicbook Guyss sat in darkened rooms. basking in the eerie half-light of their monitors, eating Wotsits and writing about how things are rubbish.

It had too little drugs in it, think about it, all the best episodes are based around the use of drugs. Medicinal *********, tomacco, guatemalan insane peppers.
The movie didn't have enough Apu & Martin Prince to compensate for the lack of... plot?
The moment to take away from the movie is that of the Comic Book Guy in church, I feel you man!

It was HORRIBLE. This is coming from someone whose watched simpsons since the beginning and even into their poor later seasons.
It was basically a regular episode stretched way out with stupid doh jokes. Remember when simpsons shows used to have a point to them? Every funny part was in the previews, the rest was just meh. |

I thought it was good. Spider Pig had my GF in stitches for about an hour.
I liked the bit where Green Day got Titanic'ed right at the start.
