Great film. Basically just a long episode... Some people think thats a flaw with it but I disagree. What else were they expecting?
Redeems the writers from some of the crap theyve been writing for the TV series recently, at least.

Saw it last night and loved it.
I thought it had just enough to be more than just "a 90 minute long episode".
Much better quality than the last so many seasons of The Simpsons.
Well deserving of the name and legacy.

Def worth going and seeing at the cinema. Quite a few reviews knocked it but really its the Simpsons and was an enjoyable night out.

I personally thought it wasnt worth watching myself, pretty much all of the jokes used where shown in the trailers and the rest were terrible. Still it is worth going to see as it is the Simpson movie.

the spider pig got me lol¦ing for 10min (yes i was pretty stoned) and everyone in there was looking at me. 
but damn good movie, worth seeing.

they played it up way too much, It didnt seem like a movie long episode, and all the funny stuff was in the trailer. wasn't bad by any means just wasn't as good as they played it up too be.

I agree. Also you can't really find the jokes in this funny unless your in a VERY good mood beforehand... Without spoiling anything you know 'what happened' cause of Homer..
I thought they was kinda **** tbh almost as if they're running out of ideas

she is not that bad once you get used to her. ihmo better then the english marge, I hate her. dito for english homer, it's one of the few series where the german voice-actors are better then the original ones.
anyways, I loved the movie. especially the fox (in germany it was Pro sieben, the channel that broadcasts simpsons here) advertisement :D

It is close to blasphemy to watch a film with dubbing. Only one exception and that is Kung Paw.
Saw it today, with ENGLISH audio and norwegian bokmsl subtitles. Spider pig spider pig can he swing from a web? no he can't he's a pig

Are you sure it isn't Angela Merkel who does the German Marge voiceover?
Just kidding. I saw the movie last night. Pretty good actually, though not as funny as it could have been. I would have liked to have seen bigger roles for some of the other characters but that's just me being picky I guess. I'm too used to watching hilarious Simpsons episodes on TV.
But yeah, great movie.

I found it dull I'm sorry to say, used to love the earlier seasons, back then it was funny, the movie wasn't, save for isolated snippets, like Spiderpig.

things wrong with the simpsons movie...
* It wasn't in 3D
* There were no giant robots
* where were the sex scenes?
* i wasn't given free money
* it didn't cure my cold
* no world peace.
* scientifically speaking there is no such organism as a 'spiderpig' and it's clear to me that this was just a pitiful device used by matt groening to elicit 'laughs' from the audiance. i don't want to laugh or be entertained. I demand that every movie i watch changes my life radically. Like.. umm.. Police Academy.

It had too little drugs in it, think about it, all the best episodes are based around the use of drugs. Medicinal *********, tomacco, guatemalan insane peppers.
The movie didn't have enough Apu & Martin Prince to compensate for the lack of... plot?

It was HORRIBLE. This is coming from someone whose watched simpsons since the beginning and even into their poor later seasons.
It was basically a regular episode stretched way out with stupid doh jokes. Remember when simpsons shows used to have a point to them? Every funny part was in the previews, the rest was just meh. |

I thought it was good. Spider Pig had my GF in stitches for about an hour.
I liked the bit where Green Day got Titanic'ed right at the start.
