I have recently moved house and today knocked down a wall to create a nice space for me to have a Den/Man Room/Games Room or whatever you want to call it. Since I am starting from scratch with this room I really want to make it a place I would enjoy spending time in and that maybe had some cool/distinctive features.
I figured I would enquire with the Eve community whether they have any suggestions as to any thing they own or have seen to help fill it.
This room is gonna house the PC, HDTV (once I buy one), consoles, a nice comfy couch etc etc.
So anyone suggest some interesting lighting/flooring/furniture/accessories or whatever.

Ok, so you have the couch and the tv... What else could you possibly need? Maybe a table for the strippers to dance on?

Nothing mans up a place like a gun rack or gun cabinet. Don't like guns? Try swords. Imo a recliner is better than a sofa....but of course a recliner only provides seating for one and isn't as comfortable to sleep on if the spouse is angry at you.

Soundproofing. That way you can play ridiculously loud music, watch movies with ridiculously loud explosions, and do whatever else you don't want other people in the house to know about.
EDIT: Hell, you could even add a shower, a toilet, and a sink and turn it into your own private bunker.

take 1 wall, put up a projector screen and buy an hdjector for the wall to be a super huge tv screen that eve can also be played on since its a projector. have a corner desk with multiple pc's for use of yourself and friends. as for seating, 3 dudes on a couch can be kind of homosexual but 3 dudes on 3 lazy-boys playing a game on a huge wall screen is awesome. make teh chairs rotate...
beer fridge is a must.
i say make a closet that holds surround sound dvd, tele reciever hardware ike a rack of all tv stuff and make a home theater, xbox360 + spooky game + big screen + suround sound is soooooooo awesome. i remember playing halflife 2 with suroud sound and hearing headcrabs jump out form behind me was like omg omg omg...
be carefull with wireless speakers though because they can get feedback from cell phones. if you do do the projector invest in really good blinds.... LIKE REALLY GOOD. you want that room to be as dark as possible...
get a table for keyboard mouse etc for the lazy-boys. dart board. neon beer signs... ummm... even a mini bar with rum at hand for pirates is good.
make your room worth of a mangasm...
tracklighing with auto dimmer is extremely effective. and get beanbags. beanbags are good..
just remember if you have many people over you will need space for the drunks to crash for the night unless you'd liek to get arrested for letting them leave your house...

Ya should go back to being single. My whole house and garage is my man room 
I don't know if they still make these but I acquired a Bar from my grandfather after he passed away. Now granted this thing is from the 70's it's still pretty cool. It's got room for your liquor of course and also includes a 8-track/record player/radio with built in speakers and when you turn any of that on lights light up the front of the bar.
I also got a small entertainment table where you can play poker with friends or you can flip over the top ad play backgammon or whatever it's called. You can also take the top of entirely and play bumper pool. This table is also from the 70's but I know they make more current ones.
Depending on the size of the room you can go for a 6' pool table. It may not be competition size but will be small enough to fit better in a house.
And I agree with removing the couch and putting in some recliners with probably a endtable in between them. For the lighting you could probably go for a ceiling fan with 3 directional lights attached to it and if you go to home depot or some other home store you can find a light switch that allows you to adjust both fan speed and light so you can dim lights but not have to turn them off completely. Or you could go for Track lighting which is turning into the new fashion.

I like the idea of keeping guns in a safe. For some reason guns and alcohol being in the same room never seem to turn out good.
