Well its good to see khanid ships getting a fix but will there ever be anything done about laser boats in the near future aswell?
The changes to khanid mean absolutely nothing to me. I have 14 mill sp in gunnery and 100k in missiles.
The thing that worries me the most is that CCP will somehow think they have fixed amarr's problems with the khanid ships and ignore lasers for another couple of years.

Well, as you see the new khanid line of ships have a nifty cap recharge bonus, guess what amarr ships get their cap reduction bonus switched with?
It's great being Amarr isn't it.

Laser turret cap use down by 40-50%. Sawp the -laser cap use bonus for +10% per level to armour hp.
Got to be a good thing.

I don't like the Khanid change at all. I could care less about missiles and agree fully with the author of this thread. Amarr are supposed to be using lasers! First there was a weak-sauce "boost" on the tracking of a few lasers, thanks, but not nearly the boost we were waiting for. Now they pretty much have told us to give up on lasers and turn Caldari instead. Real great for EVE diversity.

Sorry? I would take cap recharge over armour anyday, still, both bonuses are good
Hey, think if the cap recharge thing gets implemented, and we have the cap amount and cap recharge apoc... perma trippel rep here we come...

I certainly wouldn't argue if the -laser cap use got changed to a cap recharge bonus instead. The crux of the issue is laser base cap being lowered to the point where we can use lasers and get the cap usage bonus changed. I would suggest something tanky though and not ganky.
Armour resists, cap recharge, cap amount, armour amount or repairer cycle times. All that sort of thing is handy.

Right, that is my point, might just make amarr quite powerful again

I think laser cap use is the key to the rest of the amarr ships.
A viable change may be to lower laser cap use by ~45% and change the ship bonus for laser cap use to a cap recharge bonus on most ships and more specilised bonuses on other ships to make things interesting

I have almost 14m in gunnery and I love the changes. Been wanting some armor tanking missile ships for a while now. Lovely stuff.
If your char is old enough to have 14m in gunnery, then it won't be much effort to skill up some generic missile skills. The Kahnid changes are indeed the fix that helps Amarr. If they wern't then all the SP you have in Amarr ship skills would be wasted, now wouldn't they?
