Welcome to the offices of the 14th Legion, we thank you for showing an interest in our organisation so please be seated for our recruitment brief.
"The 14th Legion was raised during the Minmitar Fight for Freedom, our forefathers rebellion against the Amarr. Formed primarily of freed slaves the 14th were specialists in mission support to the Minmatar People. During the rebellion Her pilots were tasked with a mision, to proceed to a known ammar slave colony and liberate our brethren. As her combat pilots decended upon the colonies defences specialist transport ships proceeded to land and disembark freedom fighters to gather up those that sought freedom from oppresion. After a fierce battle the transport ships began to leave fully laden with refugees and resources. It was due to some poorly provided intelligence that the legion was unaware of an Amarr battlegroup in the region. As the batle was fought and the people evacuated this Task force made best speed to the slave colony arriving as the last few ship were preparing to leave. The commander of the Legion made a choice, if he fled from this superior foe thousands of Minmitar would either be executed or returned to slavery. Ordering his men to keep the Amarrians occupied and give the last transports the time they needed to make it to the jump gates. Though they Fought Bravely the 14th was virtually wiped out as they fought that last stand action."
"Now the 14th has been reformed. A new commander has been tasked to assist the various tribes and corporations that form the Republic. Now he seeks the men and women who will follow the traditions and ideals of those men and women who risked and gave their lives so many years ago."
Requirements
A member of the 14th:
Should want to run missions for the Various Minmatar Corps.
Should not run missions that would assist the republics adversaries (Ammar & Caldari).
Can do whatever else he likes to do.
CEO's Comment
This corp is for anyone, I want new guys and old to learn and teach respectivly, The Corp tax rate will be used to finance skills and Blueprints. If the corp has not earned it then we wont have the money to buy it.
My goal is to create a Empire based Minmatar Mission Running corp. This does not mean that if your aims involve Mining, Research, Player Owned Stations and such or 0.0 don't think that you are not welcome. Just remember that this is a brand new corp. As our finances, membership and skill base grows I hope to develop the corp by assigning command roles to members who wish to lead in other areas, If you know your stuff then why shouldn't you.
For those who wan't to get into 0.0/PvP I hope to one day develop diplomatic ties with a 0.0 Anti-Pirate Alliance, when member think they are ready to leave the relative safety of High Security Space I will do my utmost to help them find a position with a well placed Corp.
Seeking:
Courier/Combat Mission Runners - Immediate Requirement - Assitance to the Republic is a must
Miners/Manufacturers - Priority Requirement - As the corp grows we will be looking into being self sufficient
Traders/Transporters - Medium Requirement - A side of the game not many chose nor are familiar with
Scientists/Researchers - Low Priority - It will be a long time before we can delve into this area
From the Player
For those who are concened about being in a corp created by such a new character i'd like to assure you that I have been playing EvE for years, Tanis Khan is a second account whose combat skills i'd like to develop, wheras my Main, Jakana, is heavily industry bent.
Finally I'd like people who are interested in what their corp mates are doing. Sociable members are a great bonus to the game, they call it multiplayer for a reason, Theres nothing worse than having a corp full of members who never talk. How else does one dvelop friendships and learn the tweaks of the game

This corparation has got to be the most friendly, not to mention helpful group of people in the universe. Every time I've had a question, Tanis or another member has been there to help.
I see no reason why anybody wouldn't consider joining the 14th Legion, presuming they're Gallente or Minmatar of course.

what are you general time zones ? mainly UK or EU or US ?
not at home so cant check, how may members are there at the moment and what is the tax %?

Currently we have 8 members (bear in mind that the corp is a week old) who are predominantly UK/European (2 US/6 UK/Euro).
All of our members are either new characters or accounts and 2 of our members are doing the trial account.
Tax is set at 5% and will never increase, its primary purpose is to pay for rent, should we ever have enough to splash out it will go on blueprints or something special.
We are a corp of people that is here to learn, have fun and if we can teach. Feel free to contact me in game for a convo or join the public channel 14thLegion.

I am very new to EVE, but have been playing MMOG's for ages now; EQ, EQII, WoW and experimented with a few others.
Loved ELITE all those years ago and never found a MMOG that was like it. Quite how I missed this beauty for four years escapes me, but better later than never.
I have always joined guilds that have had an emphasis on integrity and family friendly fun, so the 14th is sounding good to me. I have been an officer in the past (and for a time triumvir), though I have never really felt comfortable as such.
My individual play style is, well, individual. I mostly like to run about doing missions (for the Minmatar Corps - I am Minmatar). However I love the occasional group effort (I still remember my first raid with fondness!). My principle reason for joing a guild or corp is for social reasons.
I am making me a hybrid avatar. I have two ships (plus a little shuttle for mobility purposes); a Probe Class Frigate (Archimedes) fitted as a miner and a Rifter Class Frigate (Achilles II) fitted out as an all-purpose fighter. I am developing my skills on both mining and combat fronts. This is the only avatar I have. As I write I have 950584 skill points.
