Eternal Rising would like to appologise in advance for our withdrawl from the tournament.
Being UK based there is no way we can field a team at the projected times - simply too early and most of us are at work at that time.
As the rules disallow any entrants who entered the alliance after the registration fee was paid we will be forced to concede most of our matches this time around.
We wish our group good fortune and hope to be able to put a better showing in next year if the times are more reasonable for UK players (or we all manage to take a holiday at the same time).
Regards
Sylva Moon
EternalRising Alliance Leader.

The times are horrible for US players too. :( We have had a difficult time making arrangements for our pilots. Almost all of oour pilots are having to take off work to fly in this. For US players, the tourney time translates into the tourney running from the morning to the middle of the day. I really hope that for the next tournement, they move the times back some. We all understand that it can't be good for everyone time zone wise, but from the sounds of it, if it were moved back a few hours, it would work better for both Euro and US timezone people.

Honestly we're never going to find a 'good time' for this stuff. Which is why most of us wanted it to be sooner.. as in about 5-6 weeks sooner. That way it would be at least in the middle of the summer and not when eveything has started up again (the normal work periods, uni/college/school etc).
15:00 game time is 17:00 and up for us 'mainland' EU people, which still sucks for many of us working folks (especially if you have a few very important presentations and meetings): you either have a specific schedule problem (like me, just bad timing for the first day), or you have to skip work for a while (getting back home from work can take a long time, trust me). For the US people it's like early/really early in the morning till early afternoon, so you guys would have to miss a full day of work, sucking even more. The eastern european countries and certain ME/Asian people will find themselves in the middle of the night..
There is no good time. Personally, when the tourney days last 4 hours, I would prefer the 18:00 - 22:00 .. and I'm sure everyone has their personal preferences. Certain alliances are pretty screwed with the timetable, change it and other alliances might be screwed. I'm still appalled that the contestents haven't been asked about the best times for them. The people who watch can choose when to watch, and what to watch, the players have to be there a long time.
