I need a phrophecy fitout that is rookie-friendly and that is can be used in gangs.

The harbinger might be more rookie friendly. prophecy depends on BC skills to tank.
The harbinger is just a gank ship. Fit like a rack of beams or pulses depending if you want him close or at range.
Put a medium repper, possibly EAMNx2 with DC II, and like 2 HSs.
medium slots are kind of open if it's for gang, an injector if you can fit it, cap rechargers.

A rookie PVP fit on a phoph is a bad idea
Fight a cruiser or a frig till you get the skills to fight a BC well in PVP.

I like the harby myself. It has 50 m3 drone bay, will fit 5 t2 drone nicly.
The phrophecy would be a nice ship to fit, and like a maller, 5% resist per cruiser lvl.
If you don't have the lvl 5 skills for cpu and powergrid you should train those, and try the maller tell then. |

Prophecy is really gimp because it can't fit a cap injector + tackle mods and it is supposed to be a tanking ship, and what good is an excellent tank if the enemy gang has no reason to call you primary.
So I would say get a Harbinger.
If you are set on flying Prophecy though, your best bet is to fly it as a heavy tackler/disabler. Any gang who knows what they are doing won't primary you because you are so tough and do crap for damage, so use that to your advantage.
Setup I threw in EFT for giggles.
Highs
4x Medium Nosferatu 3x Whatever lasers or autocannons you can put on
Mids
Stasis Webifier, Warp Disruptor, Afterburner
Lows
2x MAR, 2x EANM, 1x DC, 1x CPR
Drones
5x light ECM drones
Since you say you are a rookie instead of EANMs in low slots consider 3x active hardeners. Might work about better. If you can change out CPR for DC do so.
